It couldn't be trophy inflation because you would have to ADD trophies to have the value of a trophy inflate. #1 you aren't adding trophies which is a huge point of this conversation.. and number 2 the we are talking about the number of trophies in play in the entire game, as in the numerical amount of currency in circulation in an economy which is nothing to do with the VALUE of that currency, which is what inflation measures. Inflation doesn't measure the currency in circulation.

Please show your reference that a pyramid scheme has to involve investment and involve fraud.

A pyramid scheme is simply a business model.

Whether someone lies about how the scheme works makes it fraud. You can still have a pyramid scheme where everyone knows whats going on.

Look up Amway...Mary Kay cosmetics...multiple other businesses that fit the mold.

This is my last post in this thread before I get irritated and can't sleep.

There are two options for your oppinion:
One, you not are comparing the trophy situation to an economy, and therefore it cannot be called inflation (even though the poster labeling it trophy inflation is absolutely correct), and you can also DEFINITELY not label it a pyramid scheme because those are only used under economic terms.
or
Two, you are comparing the situation to an economy, in which case it is also not a pyramid scheme, for reasons already discussed.

If you are comparing complex systems to basic vocabulary, which is fine, society does it all the time, you must focus on the details, or as you put, semantics, of the words chosen.
Otherwise you simply sound unintelligent, misinformed, or blatantly wrong.

Because you have no education of the topic and yet you think you do. I Bing'ed "pyramid scheme" definition. So I guess whoever Microsoft contracted for definitions.

And change: I'm, I'm, decapitalize "you", capitalize "I", drop the "ed" on "listen" because the rest of your statement is in the present tense, capitalize God because in the English language deities are capitalized, and change "your" to "you're"

There's seven punctuation and capitalization mistakes you made while telling me about your education.

yer high school english rules seem to be fresh in your memory even though you haven't applied them to the fullest accuracy. 'have provided' doesn't seem too present tense to me. I am sure that you are not getting 100% in your high school english class though. Prove me wrong on that.

See if you were more intelligent you would have started off with your definition and compared it with everyone else's definition to make sure that there wasn't a disagreement based on differing definitions. Then the next logical step would be to identify whose definition was more correct to apply to this situation. Young bull don't go running down to eff just one of the cows....slow down.
