Higher townhall, 75% Less Loot? [BAD]

Okay, so I just spent a lot of money to get gems and spent all of my gems to get my Town Hall to level 8 because I thought that would be the best thing to spend my gems on at the time. Well I do get my TH to 8, and get all of my extra defences i unlocked and everything.. and now I'm completely stuck because of the 75% less loot when attacking others with 2 level TH lower.. the 75% is WAY WAY too extreme and many people will agree.

I am stuck with like 60k gold and 40k elix for days now because all of my troops are level 2 or 3 and my trophies are anywhere between 875-950 and everyone I try to attack has like 2000-20000 resources. NEVER MORE.
And if they do have more than 2k-20k resources, then their exp level is like 70 and their defence is impossible for me to break through with level 2 troops.

The 75% less loot is way too high and is a horrible addition to the game. I understand you want to make more money, by forcing us to buy more and more gems.. but come on. Not all of us are rich and can just keep buying gems over and over again. Even 50% less loot is outrageous, and many people will agree.

Make it like 30% or 40% at the max.

First of all, your percentages are off. Read the loot thread in my signature for the real ones. (50% not 75% for 2 levels lower)

Second the game penalizes those with high level town halls in order to protect noobs. This really, really hurts players who dont know this and end up rushing their town hall, as you did.

What you need to do is focus on upgrading your troops and army camps. There is no way that you are going to be able to get decent loot with lvl 2-3 troops. Also, you may have to raise or lower your trophy range depending on where you currently are and exactly how bad you rushed it. More than likely you will need to go somewhere in the 1000-1200 range to find some decent, relatively easy loot.

The game wasn't designed for farming low levels anyway.

Many ppl made it past your stage without whining or gemmingso just adapt..

I thought it was a 25% penalty for two levels lower (and 50% for three 3-plus)?

I think you are confusing that with the bonus for higher TH lvls. It is 25% more for 2 lvls higher and 50% for 3. For lower TH lvls it goes 50% loot reduction for 2, 75% for 3, and 95% for 4+.

My understanding of it is that 2 levels lower gives you only half the loot that would otherwise be stolen, and 3+ levels lower only gives you 25% loot.

It might help if that information was somewhere in the game itself. You wouldn't know about the loot penalty unless you specifically looked it up; it might help to put it in as a loading screen tip.
