I hoard jams and syrup. I fill jam boats, both mine and others', and it only takes one or two boats to wipe out a supply, so jam is something of which I try to keep plenty in stock. Syrup wasn't such a big deal until I bought the candy machine, now it IS a big deal and I get nervous when my supply gets low. I don't usually buy to resell, but if I only find something in a quantity of 10 and I buy it for one or two, I'll resell the rest. I used to sell some things in quantities of 10 (feed, popcorn) but am cutting back on that for the same reasons as the others - sometimes people only need a few, not to mention there's nothing worse than getting that dreaded "full barn" message when hitting a stall with 10 items in it.
I'm helping DD with her barn but am selling lems and sems now. Oh, and I sell all manner of items, both premium and non-premium. Non-premium items are scorned by many, but has anyone ever had a cornbread boat and not been able to find any in their friends' stalls? I normally shop at my neighbors' stores first and then to the DD, but nowadays I hit the DD first for the lowly muffins and bacon and eggs because it's getting harder and harder to find them at neighbors' farms though I can usually find a few if I go to the lower levels for those types of items because, depending on the level, those are the only things they can yet sell. I have a big respect for cornbread, muffins, and all the lower level items because not being able to find them when I have a boat MAKES me respect them. Therefore, I mix them in with my fancy pants premium items. And they always sell. :)

I do understand you because i also have had boats for cornbread and couldn't find any on dd or friends :( nowadays popcorn, simple bread is hard to find, people are always expecting an event so they keep "everything".Quote:

Oh my goodness Besta, now I know why I enjoy visiting your stall so much! I didn't realize there was someone else out there like me! My favourite thing is to put items out by their colours...red cherries, red apples, red scarves etc. It sounds goofy but I love to look at it before it all goes.Quote:

I keep a stock of 10 of everything...Sell off deeds, markers and mallets as they come from wheating. I produce jams, cakes etc to cater to my higher level friends that may not have the time to make them or may need them to stock up their RSS. I sell low quantities to cater to my lower level friends that may not have the coin, or barn space to buy more than 2 or 3 at a time. Thus, everyone is happy and I can keep rss stocked most of the time (until I start wheating).

I've been reading this thread John on & off all day , which is quite frightening as it's 12hrs since you posted and apart from cooking tea & walking the dog ,I don't think I've put this iPad down , in my defence kids are back at school , hubby back to work & my batteries need charging up after 2 hectic weeks .:p Oh and I've put that much weight on over Christmas , finding it very hard getting up from this sofa ( hence the box of chocolates at arms reach) :p
Anyway I've just done a stock take before writing this posts & realised that my farm cupboards are an exact replica of my RL cupboards, basically full to bursting with everything. Yes I'm a hoarder . And will restock my cupboards when they are only half empty
50-60 LEM and I've nothing left to expand !!!!! In my defence there for the kids
BEM & SEM low as we've all just expanded them, so I'll be frantically looking for them !
40/50axes & saws & I always buy these if I see them in the DD... Wether I need them or not.
As I've got all the machine I like to sell a mixture of everything, just like you but I sell usually in 3's & 4's
I do tend to hoard sugar,syrup,goats cheese, sauce & oil & feel uneasy when go below 20/25. I also very rarely sell these, but will fill my friend boats with the exception of soya sauce. I don't like to go below 10 jams & will always buy if I see them.
My friends & follows vary from lv 99 to lv 12 , so I like to sell the bread , carrot cakes , muffins ect. But also the salad,sushi & soup.
I find it also helps me having such a variety of different levels for friends because even at level 69 we still get boat order for bread or carrot cake. And when I need these I will always start at the lower levels as they need the coins more.
What I do find quite strange & I think this has occurred since the last 3 new machines we got....... Is that I will be filling my RSS with all my goodies and I get to my last 2 or 3 slots then realise I've filled it all with my barn products and totally forgot about my stuff in my silo. :cool:
I sell a variety of stuff...I keep 10, 8 or 6 of most items and keep my machines running most of the time, so sell off extras of anything over my "limit". I don't usually have any extra dairy or sugar, so rarely sell those, though I will fill a neighbor's crate if I do have a bit too much.
I'm about 900 points away from my boats score hunter achievement, then I'll work on hoarding BEMs to upgrade my barn, and once that is done I'll probably follow my current routine, but will just keep more stock.
