wonder how other players manage about apple trees

it is good to have apples, berries to produce various thing. however, after you collect all the fruits. the plants will die. more you grow more trees need to be cut down. however, the axe and saw are rare to find in red box and shops. You can ask Tom to help. but he costs diamond which is even more rare to find. I saw so many high level players had grow a lot fruit plants, I wonder how they manage to cut them.

I seem to find saws a lot morethan axes. I have 10 saws in my barn but only 2 axes. Sometimes I see saws advertised in the newspaper and a couple of times I have got some from friends shops but axes I rarely see advertised or sold so I try to dedicate 2 hours on the weekend to wheating and can sometimes pick up some that way.

We might grow a lot of trees, but we only harvest them when we need them for an order, or as an ingredient for an order. Just because the fruit is there, you don't have to harvest it. Some even buy fruit even tho they have plenty on their trees because they value their aesthetic contribution to their farms. (They think they look pretty) Personally, I never harvest for the final time unless I have the saw available to cut down the tree, because I hate seeing dead trees on farms and I want the XP that you get for cutting them down. So, don't plant and harvest unless you have sufficient tools to cope with the debris is a good rule to follow, if you can.

Hi linlinling and welcome to the forum. This is excellent advice that Glademaid has given you. It's always hard at 1st when you start growing you fruit. As everyone says axes and saws are rare. You will get to a stage ( when your barn is a reasonable size) that you learn to manage them better. Try & find friends who sell them or follow someone's from the DD. I've never had dead wood on my farm. I've got to a stage where I'm happy with the quantity of bushes & trees I have, I harvest when needed and always cut down and replace with the equal amount. I like to keep between 40/50 of each.

Just harvest when you need the fruit.... That's the best advice. You can also hide dead wood behind buildings, the house is a good place to hide them, it stops you accidentally loosing things behind it as it quite awkward to retrieve things from here. If you want a boost with your tools add me in GC and I will gladly sell you 10 of each to get you going.

It is hard at the beginnig to get enough axes and saws to cut down all the trees that die at first. When i had axes and saws I always used them, if I didnt I tried to,use the bare trees to create a Northern Hemisphere winter woodland. As long as you dont let it get out of control, you will eventually get enough saws and axes to cut them down once they die.

From the time I was upset by finding out that depleted trees had to be felled, I've never had dead ones on my farm. I've gone the route of never taking the last harvest unless I have the saws and axes to use and then I immediately replace the tree or bush. The thing I like most about this game is the trees waving gently in the breeze. I wish I'd kept some original ones but you live and learn.

I buy lot of fruits (average 50-60 in silo to keep up with production and order). Hardly to have to harvest my own except for olive (sometimes coffee/cacao).

Recently I follow a farm with fruit on half of their farm space and sell them every other day. I got big silo too (2000).

I like this idea.I don't like to see the dead trees around as well. and it will be easier to do it this way when you have more money available to buy fruit instead of they your own.

about following friends. does it has limit of how many player you can follow a day or in total? I had try to follow players from DD, but after I follow a few, I can't successfully follow more people. I tried to add so many friends form game center. it is easy to clicking your friends' store one by one, but you don't know what you can find there. and you can't send them message to communicate. DD will show you what you can find.
