New dark elixir troop: brute
These improved barbarians wield an unbreakable shield forged from dark elixir and have trained their swords for a mighty axe. They are tougher stronger and meaner than a regular barbarian however they still love their moustaches. The brute can deflect even the strongest blows with his shield but he isn't so good at blocking magic.
Appearance: he looks like a regular lvl 6 barbarian only with a shield and cloak and instead of a sword he holds a single bladed axe he his slightly taller than a barbarian and his eyes glow red.

The he brute is unlocked at th 9 in the lvl 6 dark barracks the upgrade costs 3.5mill elixir

how the damage reduction works
at lvl 1 his damage reduction is 40 what this means is each time he is hit by an archer tower cannon or mortar he takes 40 less damage than other troops. If he is hit by a lvl 10 archer tower which deals 65 damage it he would only take 25 damage
65-40=25. If the defence that hits him deals less damage than his damage reduction he takes no damage HE WONT GAIN THE DIFFERENCE BACK AS HEALTH.
The damage reduction only applies to cannons archer towers and mortars it will have no effect when he is targeted by other defences such as teslas or xbows
Strengths: an archer tower cannon and mortar will take a long time to kill him as they will deal little damage to him so he could be used to distract them while other troops advance
Weaknesses: he has fairly low hp for a troop that requires 6 housing space so defences that he cant block such as a wizard tower will finish him off quickly also he has no preferred target so will wast time destroying other buildings around the outside of a base then when he gets inside he will waste time hitting storages allowing xbows to Finnish them off quickly
Possible complaints
what if people use him with healers and heal spells like hog riders are?
He has no preferred target and can be slowed down by walls so he is unlikely to destroy an air defence before it shoots down a healer. And as his movement speed is slow and he possesses low hit pints 5 heal spells would not be enough to keep an army of them alive through the attack
what if someone uses them on a low base that only has cannons archer towers and mortars they wouldn't even take damage?
They are unlocked at th 9 and cost dark elixir they would not be worth using on a low base as loot penalties would mean you would gain nothing from it
With all these weaknesses what use are they?
As cannons and archer towers are normally on the edge of people's defences brutes could be dropped first to distract them while you deploy other troops such as giants or hog riders or could be used to eliminate outer defences and distract mortars making way for weaker troops
This is my first troop suggestion so i apologise if i have done anything wrong i have read the stickies and checked if anyone has suggested something similar
