I'm currently level 35, and I'm slowly upgrading all my walls to level 6. But I've noticed that they are becoming less and less effective. Level 3-4 giants punch through in pretty short order. Can I assume that as I'm up against more and more powerful attackers (and more airborne attackers) , I will be relying less on walls for defense?

Im at level 50 and for the past 15-25 levels its been primarily a horde of archers that attack, with a few others scattered in, which definitely makes me feel like the walls are quite useless.
when people attack with 125 archers there's really no wall that gonna slow em down much. certainly not worth the astronomical amount of gold it costs per brick as you go up. I'm slowly upgrading from gold to purple crystal at a whopping $75 000 a piece!
I was hoping to see this attack strategy level out as I increased in levels and troph amounts but its just getting worse. Now I'm starting to get attacked by dragons and hordes of balloons so I'm officially on the 'Yes, walls are useless' side of the fence. Or at least definitely not worth the fortune they cost.
A great idea would maybe introduce a handful of higher walls that we could use, ones that actually stop archers arrows and flyer defense from passing. Of course you couldn't have many of these or else it would be just as pointless as the last update made playing this game for a lot of people. ;) But say 10-15 just to protect a small area.
in short...dont waste your gold on walls!! update it to gold level with a scattering of purple crystal at key points where attackers like to send the giants and be done with it.
I'm quite happy with the performance of my walls, actually.
i'm currently at lvl 36 and all my walls are pink and really is doing fine against same-lvl attackers. but if an experienced high lvl player will attack your walls, it doesn't matter if those were skull walls, it will break for sure.
You mean gold to pink, in the high end playing walls can make that extra difference. The skulled walls are impossibile to buy now without the farming and the rest of the glitches that were removed but a purple wall is highly recommend. Gold pink purple. :)Quote:

Are you referring to using walls as choke points for your mortars and Wizard towers to destroy bunched up troops in mass?Quote:
