I have so much unwanted ♥♥♥♥!! It would be so nice if we could have a yard sale and sell some or all of our stored unwanted ♥♥♥♥!! Maybe twice a year they could set a price. I don't care if I give it away! Tell me what you would gladly give away!
1, topiary
2, stupid looking shrub birds!
3, snow balls I bought by accident
4, anything stacked and green!
Now I feel better!

Well, if you don't want them. And would gladly give them away, just toss them in the trash. I don't understand the problem. Many were gifts or prizes, if you don't need the money they cost, assuming you bought them, trash them. But they aren't taking up space in your barn, if you want them off your farm, put them in the storage box or in the trash bin. Problem solved. Hey chances are if you find them ugly, so does everybody else.

I think it's a good idea. Just throwing them away seems like a waste, when there might be others who would love to own them.

As as time went on, your tastes and needs changed. No matter how rich you are, or what level you are .... We all have only the same amount of land and fishing area (after all expansion, of course). I personally would rather sell or give it to someone to enjoy during that phase of their game, than throw it out.
And even at advanced levels, where coin is of little concern, how many illusional towers are there made from stacked outhouses. So yes, there is a buyer for everything in this game.
As for them being gifts and prizes ..... To an extent, yes some were. Others were 'won' on the wheel of misfortune, many times after the daily free spin. That means that those dreaded diamonds were used to get those 'gifts'. And sometimes, real money was spent (voluntarily, I admit) to get those diamonds. Using this logic, these 'prizes and gifts' can hardly be considered 'free'.

We'll I imagine there probably is a market for every thing. I was thinking more on the lines of why is this a problem. As a victim of permanent barnfullitis, my bigger problems are what to do with the 117 saws that I don't dare part with because as soon as I sell one, all my trees will die. So my daughter and I play musical barns with them when one of us is close to expanding just to ease the pressure. I am a lifetime member of the "I want a shed for my tools" club. So tossing the extra topiaries in the box or bun, seems like the optimal solution. Keep in mind that I just put away 13 boxes of Christmas decorations below the stairs in my real life basement. There is a limit to what I can store here at home but not on my farm. Extra gnome? Into the box you go. Extra wreathe here at home and the decision has to be made to toss something else or send this one to goodwill.
But Tony, you won me over (yes it is possible and I can be reasonable) when you mentioned those stacked outhouses. They are cool and I can envision a market for things like that. So from a storage aspect, we don't need to be able to sell our stuff, but from a creativity aspect, who wouldn't want an extra outhouse or fence at a reasonable price, since the ones we can buy increase in price to the ridiculous extreme. I know there was one farmer really annoyed when the Halloween fence went away because she hadn't been able to complete her masterpiece. I'd have given her the few I had with pleasure.
So supercell, are ya listening. Even if you just let is sell the stuff we can't buy or can't buy anymore, that would be nice. I can't see them letting us sell the coveted big red tractor because it can be own or bought, but some of those Halloween items or blasted topiaries could make someone's day.

I know now that as I have progressed to a level that seemed soooooo far away when I started playing, I really started to enjoy helping lower level farmers. Many times it was by filling their fish related item crates on the boat, when I see that they have not repaired their boat yet. I delayed my boat repair a level, when I was at their level also. Did not have the coin at the time.
Often it was by selling jams and juices at default prices, to those that needed them but did not have the machinery to produce it. Or by buying basic items from the lower level farmers, because I remember the thrill of selling all of those 6 eggs or 5 bacon bacon at full price. I felt like Warren Buffett at that moment.
If gifting or selling decoration items (even ones I feel are hideous looking) will keep a young farmer interested in his or her farm ..... I am all for it.
i do admire the creativity of some of the illusions out there using outhouses, fountains, and swings.
When I won my BRT from cashing in my gift cards, I achieved all of the exclusive decorations that I wanted. Not a fan of those golden statues, and not even sure of where I would put them without modifying the farm or removing crops.
So yea SC, in the interest of player interest, let's consider a way to sell some or gift some of these unused decorations to other players. And I will agree that the storage shed for tools would be nice, as long as people could not hoard unlimited amounts of SEM, BEM, or LEM. That could kill the RSS availability of these items, as well as the trade market.
I would LUUUUV to sell my topiaries, extra bikes, gnomes, etc., nearly all of which are residing in storage. I can't bear to throw them away, but as yet there's not a Hay Day eBay which we can use, so I too vote for a yard sale. I'd clear space for it just to see how tacky I could make it look!

Oh Tigg, this made me laugh out loud!! I keep only 25 saws and axes each and sell all the rest because they annoy me so much. I confess I do get a little nervous when they get down to 16 or 17, but I'm guaranteed that I'll harvest them in quick succession if I decide I need some other tools (as in these last few days when I was helping my daughter expand her silo). Need planks? Here's an axe. Nails? How about a saw instead. I kid you not, I harvested six axes yesterday all in a row. Was enough to almost make me quit playing for a while.
