How many lvl9 walls should be done before townhall 10?

I don't really feel like getting all lvl9 walls but what do you guys think is a good amount of lvl9 walls to do before going to townhall10?

Well, I'd say to finish them but if you really don't feel like it then just upgrade now.

when you reach th10 your the loot potential for every raid diminishes down to the least out of all the townhalls. So as far as farming goes your not gonna be screwed but, you will have put yourself in a much worse position to get those walls up then you are now. Although you want your walls to go up as high as you can get them while your still th9, I can understand that you want to keep your upgrades going. You want to get your last xbow and archer tower. You want those Inferno towers and most importantly those th10 troop upgrades.

really boils down to, can you wait for all those things so you can get your walls faster? because it will all slow down as soon as you hit th10

I am facing the same problem..all i got left is 1 tesla trap and my Air defences

126 lvl9 walls

I'm almost finishing mine (starting december 25 2013)
you should've taken then 1gem barrack boosting opportunity

I was taking advantage of the 1gem boosting... I have done over 80 walls since last week

245 is a good amount for most.

well, then continue, those lego aren't easy things... although I'll admit that skull walls too me almost 1 month and 2 weeks or so at sub200... (having 5 builders working and raiding 6m daily and dumping them on walls before upgrades)

lego are gonna take me, if my logistics are right, completed in 10 days ..(191 lego atm of this writing) .with barrack boosted, if not i think it'll had been completed at 2-3 months

ive done about 100 in a few days of boosting, I finished my core and mid section So I stopped doing so many.

the real question is: how many lv10 walls before th10..

Does sub200 still work? I'm really curious but I don't want to drop that low lol (I'm a th8 btw)

240 walls done in my first month of th9 ...barracks boost rock

Find a th 10 base that you would like to use, and then see how many lvl 9 walls can secure the inner vault (at least).

That should be the minimum!

240? Lvl8 or 9 walls?

Myself I am TH8 and it is a pain purpling all of mine as it is. I'd get em all to 9 and a few to 10, because I am not sure I want to hear about the TH10 loot penalty.

0 walls as you can spend it on other things ;)

Alex, imo, it depends on your long term strategy.... Some ppl are wall freeks and want to have all lava walls before upgrading to TH10.

Questions to ask yourself
Are you a wall freek ?
How much gold do you farm per day ?
Do you want to do all lava walls in th10 ?
Do you see yourself playing hardcore to get lvl 11 walls (electric walls) to max th10 ?

Most ppl already know that walls are more of intimidating factor. Really not worth the effort of farming without gems.

I guess the answer to your question lies with you ...

I am using level seven walls with a core of level eight walls on a town hall 10 base and it is holding up quite well.
The defense upgrades are making more of a difference for me.
