Next button for legends league

Please consider adding a next button for legends league. Attacking in legends has become very frustrating. At every other level of farming, there is a next button.

There is no “one size fits all” army that will work against any base. Attacking maxed town hall 12’s is hard enough. No need to make it harder by forcing us to use ill suited armies for a base. It’s very frustrating to know you could have smashed a base, if only you had that other army cooked.

I know people will tell me to become a better attacker. I would counter with, this is a game and games should be fun, not frustrating.

Bottom line is, frustrated people typically don’t spend more money on a game. Legends league is where the highest skilled, and most dedicated players find themselves. Why frustrate them? You would think they would be the group that spends the most money on the game.

Just my 2 cents. Hopefully it helps make a great game even better.

It isn't even possible for them to do that, never mind reasonable.

Please elaborate on that response Ajax. They already have the code written and in use. It’s implemented at every other level of farming. Sure, they might need to tweak it to fit into the 8 attacks per day rules of legends league. But I find it hard to believe that it’s impossible for them to do that.

Well - it was that way in the past (prior OBS (Operation Blue sky). The problem was you hit next and then you wait 12h (yes hours) before a base to attack showed up. At least im upper legends.
This is due to the simple thing of numbers of defences vs. Number of attacks. In upper leagues everybody tries to attack more often than taking defences...

So they changed the whole Legend league. As others already has stated- the new skill in Legend league is to attack with your (fixed) army any given base.

This is different to Titan, where you hit next until you find a base which fits your army.
And it is different to war, where you build your army on the "given" and deeply elaborated enemy warbase...

SC has simply decided this way... Go for it...

And in addition to the "fun" aspect:

You play this game against other real Person, so your fun is some else frustration and vice versa.
I like it if someone fails on my LegendLeague base ;) And if i fail on someone else base i happy with the defender that he gained a defence - and try better next time... and moan a little bit over my bad attack ;)

The whole design of legends is to get rid of clouds. You are assigned 8 bases at the start of each day. Not next available like in all others leagues. If you bring back next, you bring back clouds. And we are back to old legends where primary skill required is time available To search.

Those were very frustrating times as well. I remember having to wait hours at a time for a base to hit. This system is definitely better on that front.

The problem then was the shield system, not the next button. There wouldn’t be any clouds with adding a next button to the current system. To make the math simple, if there are 10 players in legends league, then there are exactly 80 attacks and 80 defenses available. Still won’t ever be a wait, because there will always be defenses available from the pool if you have an attack left. Yet, it gives you the ability to hit next to find a more suitable base. The last few attacks of the day might not have much to choose from, but it would still be less frustrating.

In reality, if we expand that to the actual scale of the number of players in legends, there would likely always be a “next” available. There have been plenty of days where I’m not attacked 8 times.

Adding a next button under the current system just isn’t possible. When you start a “legends day” you are assigned 8 bases to attack. That’s it. Just 8. These bases are predetermined at the beginning of the day. That’s the mechanic that got rid of any wait times, or clouds. Under the current system there just isn’t any base for you to “next” to. Those days when you aren’t attacked 8 times are the result of the player assigned your base not using all of his attacks.

The mechanic that got rid of the wait times, or clouds, was the elimination of the shield system. With the shield system, legends players could attack others without taking defenses themselves. It had nothing to do with the next button.

As far as the predetermined 8 bases at the beginning of the day goes, I would even take nexting through them over the current system. Or, change it so the bases aren’t predetermined. As I stated earlier, there will always be defenses available if you have attacks left. It’s math.

There are two aspects to the game : (a) For fun, farming, and practice aspect, and (b) the Competative aspect.

You are are absolutely correct that there is "farming" in the other Leagues. And you are absolutely correct that Legends is indeed for the highly skilled, since it is the one and only competative league we have.

So no, Legends should not be adjusted for "farming, fun, and practice". As the lower leagues should not be forced to be competative. In any true competative environment, you are scheduled as to whom you play, those others in the same league as youself. A professional team cannot pick and chose whom they play, and when, there is no "nexting".

So everyone should (theoretically) be happy! Those whom desire competitiveness have Legends. Those whom desire farming have the lower leagues.
