TH 7 Unique Maxing Strategy-- Please read!

I am a player who maxes their THs. While I am not going to get into the whole debate about maxing, I will say that I enjoy it. So, I want to max TH 7 while having as few builders idle as possible.

First, let me state the most common strategy for TH maxing.
1. Build all the new buildings and get them to a decent level
2. Do all the defense upgrades and maybe a barracks here and there too.
3. When enough DE has been attained, barb king is bought
4. Work on long elixir upgrades (barracks to 9) while having a builder available to spend every last bit of gold on walls
5. All other timed buildings will be finished by the time walls are about halfway done.
[It varies here and there, but this is the average maxing strategy for TH 7]

The problem with this is that there are builders idle for a long time, as well as the TH upgrade.

This is my proposed solution:

1. Build all the new buildings and get them to a reasonable level (6 or so)
2. When you are confident in your new buildings, redesign your base for one suitable to TH 7
3. Keep one builder available at all times. With the rest, do long upgrades that cost elixir (barracks, gold mines, spell factory, etc). Save 4 gold mine upgrades to level 11 for later (if you have 3 builders total)
4. With the available builder, spend every dime of gold you have on walls.
5. When the elixir upgrades are all complete, work on expensive gold upgrades. (WT, Teslas, etc)
6. Once those are done, save for TH upgrade
7. Start 2 gold mines to level 11 the day before the TH upgrade.
8. Once the TH is started, finish your walls. If you went far in TH 6, you should be good before the TH is done. Once the gold mines are done, start the other 2.
9. Voila! Maxed TH 7 with less idle builders!

Note: Elixir expenses while you are doing the TH 7 defenses are in the Laboratory. All DE goes towards the King.

Now, please comment on my sanity. It requires a bit of sacrifice, but it is worth it, as TH 7 is the best TH to raid at. Take it while you can, and take advantage of having 175 level 7 walls when you cross to TH 8.

I think its actually a good strategy, but only if you're religious about maxing your TH. Take it into consideration, at least. And please give me your thoughts!

I beg to differ but collectors are pretty much useless at this stage especially if you are a farmer. Even if you are not a farmer, you can simply just get your resources from raiding bases. Also, there isn't a need to keep one extra builder. You can simply time your upgrades beforehand. For example, if I upgrade this thing, what time will it be completed? Will I be awake or free enough to visit CoC and upgrade another thing again? Ask yourself what are you gonna upgrade next too. Keep raiding for gold and once an upgrade is complete, spam it all on your walls before you upgrade another building. With proper planning, you can effectively maximize your builders and upgrades! This is just my opinion though xD

i'm TH7 and maxing out everything in the order you specified except for the collectors. Yeah, for me, the collectors are pretty much useless because you can just rely on farming....

I would do that if I was less strict on maxing my TH... collectors get you next to nothing compared to good farming techniques. What I'm really trying to do with them is have an excuse to stay at TH 7 to keep working on my walls :). I could try keeping all builders busy like you mentioned, but most stuff after the new buildings has building times of 3 days exactly, for example. So I suppose I could have a nice little rotation of once a day a builder is freed up, maybe I will try that. Thanks for the ideas!

I also enjoy maxing out my town halls and i just finished maxing out th7...I feel like its the most efficient way to play since you have to upgrade everything anyway eventually and especially cause th7 is the best for raiding

Why start upgrading to th8 before finishing walls? I'm sorry but BAD idea,people, bad idea.

I farm pretty aggressively and have already maxed out my TH7 walls. All the three mortars are lvl 3 and one WT is being upgraded. All other defenses are TH level 6 (the new one were upgraded to TH6 level as well)

Now, with all the walls upgraded, I find myself in trouble as to where to spend all the farmed gold? Any advices? :)

wheres the option saying "no I wouldn't use this"? cuz I think maxing is a good idea, but I wouldn't use this so I went with "u are insane"
