Many people are saying that builders rights are not needed and it is "just a game". Everybody, (even builders) should have the privilege of human rights.

No one gives a ♥♥♥♥ about the builders, its a freaking video game!
Typical builder propaganda. Breaks? Next thing you know you'll be asking for monthlong vacations and 4 hour workdays.
Your conditions are far from as bad as you described too. You sirs, are on salary not on wages. We pay you to do your jobs (and you are paid handsomely)! Want a break? Do your work faster. Perhaps one of these days you all will realize that beating everything with a hammer isn't the best way to upgrade things, but I doubt that.
Builders are hired, not bought. There are millions of you all just begging to be hired by our village chiefs. With our incredibly high salaries during these rather rough economic times, we are an incredibly attractive job prospect for your young men. I'm guessing you are either an unemployed builder (ahem.. jealous much?) or a parent of a builder who can't properly cope with the fact that these young men would rather work for us than stay home on the farm. Regardless, your allegations and totally unfounded comparison to slavery are repulsive.Quote:
Problem 2
Builders can be bought. Everybody in Clash of Clans starts the game with 2 builders. This is obviously not very much as the game requires many things to be upgraded. So, people tend to buy more. This concept, while it is a money-maker the creators of CoC, is unfair. Put yourself in the builder's shoes. You are minding your own business, and all of a sudden you are dropped into a new village. It is a very different environment, and I would be terrified. Then, usually immediately, the builders are forced to work. And so begins the endless cycle of a builder.
Let's overlook the strange new village the builder is placed in. The builder still has to be BOUGHT. The builder is in fact a person too, even if he is trapped inside a video game. Can we walk up to a person on the street and ask to buy them? No. I understand that Clash Of Clans is not at all like real-life, but, "A person's a person, no matter how small." People should not be bought. America went through a civil war just to stop people from being bought and forced to work. Let's hope this issue doesn't come to that, but something needs to be done.
Laughable. Yes, your huts are 2x2 (which you stay in even when not on the job), but you do realize we fit our TROOPS, who we take care of as best we can, into 5x5 spaces with 60 troops there. 60 in a 5x5 vs. 1 in a 2x2... who's getting the short end of the stick now?Quote:
Problem 3
The huts that builders live in is awful. Builder's Huts are tiny and most-likely crapped inside. In-game, they are only 2x2 blocks big. Even for one builder each, that is very small. These bad living conditions should be changed for the men who keep Clash Of Clans going. Each builder gets their own hut which is nice, but when I comes down to living space per builder, things get pitiful. The builder may not spend much time in his hut (Another very disturbing problem) but a higher quality of life must be provided for these "unsung heroes" of the game.
That awful builders' union of yours is what's doing the damage here. Demands (which we reluctantly met) of incredibly high salaries, large building spaces, and other perks (don't think we don't know what's been going on with the maidens. Worst of all, it's during village attacks when you guys just happen to not be on the job and all the maidens rush into the TH. Yeah, we have replays.). We have been trying to negotiate better benefits for our courageous troops, but this is very difficult to do when negotiating with insatiable fiends like you all. Pathetic.
I suppose you want your own chariots and imported grapes hand-fed to you too?Quote:
Below are my ideas for improving the life and rights of builders based on the 3 problems I talked about earlier. I would like for these features to be implemented into Clash Of Clans, but that will probably not happen. Anyways, my suggestions are below.
- There should be a button that will make a builder take a break during an upgrade. Say a builder is working on an Archer Tower. If I wanted to, I could press the button and set the break time.(15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes) The builder would return to his hut and sleep for that designated amount of time, and then continue with his upgrade.
- Builders should be gained, not bought. Builders should no longer be purchased for gems. When the builders that you have are happy enough (See happiness bar suggestions) you will get another one. A player will start at 2, and can get up to 5 builders in time.
- Builders huts should be taken away. Instead, there should be a big building that builders can live in. A "Builder Townhall", if you will. The building should come with the village, the same way a Townhall does. The building should also be the size of a Townhall. The building can house 2-5 builders.
- Builder food should be available for purchase in the shop. 500 elixir would buy 10 "Builder snacks" for them to eat. The builders will get hungry from time to time, but not too often. 1 snack will fill up a builder, and increase his "happiness" (See happiness bar suggestion)
How about this for a happiness index: 8 MILLION gold for 2 weeks (max) work. Quit complaining and appreciate what you have.Quote:
My final idea is to introduce a "Builder happiness bar" for each builder. The bar should pop up when a builder is clicked on, and should display a number 1-10, based on how happy he is. To increase happiness, a builder can be fed, he can take a break during an upgrade, or should have no upgrade at all.
Increasing Builder Happiness
- Every 15 minutes a builder naps, his bar should go up 1 point
- When a builder has no upgrade for 1 hour, his bar will go up 2 points
- Every time a builder is fed, his bar should go up 3 points (Keep in mind builders don't need to eat too often)
Of course, builders happiness can decrease also.
Decreasing Builder Happiness
- Every 1 day a builder works on an upgrade, his happiness will go down by 1 point
Before, I stated that builders should be gained. Builders are gained when all of the builders are happy enough and a certain Townhall level has been achieved.
Gaining new builders
- To get a 3rd builder: Both builders should have a happiness of at least 8 (Needs Townhall 3)
- To get a 4th builder: All builders should have happiness of 8 (Needs Townhall 5)
- To get a 5th builder : all builders should have happiness of 8 (Needs Townhall 6)
These are all my ideas for the issue of builders rights and quality of life. Thank you for reading and feel free to comment on my ideas/points.
Clash on!
