Should I change my playing style?

Hey .

This is the first time I use the forum. So a big hello.

I used a little time here on the forums before I created myself , and I am surprised that there is not much contact between users and SC - especially after the big update that turned the game 180 degrees. ?

However .

I have after much searching, not found out what it is that SC thinks about that it would be easier to save up for major upgrades ? I have since the update had it very difficult to save for them. I am TH 10 by Master II. Even in boosting collectors time, I think it's hard to save up. Does the update only benefit people who attack much? I have a job and a family to care for, so I can not sit in front of the iPad / iPhone for hours. I have over the latest weeks lost a lot of loot, especially since when i don't get a shield because people don't destroy 40%.
I'm not a farmer, since I do not think it's particularly challenging and before the update, the balance of the loot was fantastic, In my opinion. Maybe you could upgrade the league bonus at the time, to get some more loot in the game?
So. Is the update not only for the benefit of farmers in low league, and for those who play a lot ?
Am I not able to be up in a high league when I can not play all day? Should I then change my playing style?

I am a huge farmer I have stolen 540M gold at th9. But you are right they should give a larger bump to the loot bonus. If you want money at th10 go to 1900-2100 pretty good inactive bases.

How is it hard? I'm overflowing here!

Welcome to the forums, happy to see people post stuff more thought through than "SC best idea ever, let us trade resources inside the clan omg".

I think it is fair to say that the loot change favors active players over those who play once per one-two hours, since now you can lose much more. I have seen people make huge profits farming in Master 3-1, mostly by picking off collectors from inactives and (relatively) easy-to-get storages - it might be a good idea to try it out. TH10s have a delightful time farming in mid-upper crystal, too, since the disco ITs repel most attackers, save some vicious TH10s that farm there. Besides, you can hog away at all TH 9s to your hearts delight, unless they have a decent anti-hog layout and topped defenses. Hope this helps!

Changing your playing style may be in order. But it may not require a big change. For example, if you normally play after dinner and attack once per hour for 3 hours, you are indeed setting yourself up to lose 200k+ each time to go offline. With the new loot system, you may need to play for 30min-1 hour and attack 3-4 times in that hour. If you can make 200k+ each raid than you'd be almost a million in resources. And then when you do get raided it only sets you one raid. This new attack style may require to change army composition and attack style; it may also require some practice to get used to it.

Also it might be time to give farming a shot. There are a lots of different ways to do it; you don't have to drop down to gold3 if you don't want to. The Master1-2 guys in my clan farm in Crystal1. One more thought, it could also be time for a new base.

I agree with you that it does seem that the new loot system seems to slightly favor active players. I also have a job and family so I can relate to you in that. I tweaked my playing style a little and have seen huge rewards with the new loot system.

The devs could remove the attack function from the game and you'd be the first person here saying its fine. Why even bother adding your opinion. We all know its "everything is fine something's wrong with you".

You just have to find the league that works the best for what you want to farm. For gold/elixir, I tend to stay low and use a small army. For de, I tend to stay higher and use larger, more powerful armies. Your base will also make a difference. If you are a super premie TH10, you're going to get rolled regardless of what you do.

Yes change your playing style.

Try some new leagues and maybe a new design of base that makes loosing storages without getting a shield less possible.

Dear OP,

I'll cut straight to the point: Saving up resources to upgrade anything above 5 mil, with TH inside, is impossible at the current state of the game.

And if your storages are not protected enough to the point that all your resources can be taken without giving you a shield, well you can't expect much can you?
