Last helpers tab

I was wondering if anyone else finds the 'Last helpers' tab a problem. I say problem because although I like to know who has helped me and want to return the favour I am apprehensive of helping strangers in the RSS for fear of picking up unwanted stalkers, who then have access to your RSS until you 'drop off their last helper list'.

I love helping others, especially new/lower level players but think twice before giving to players who are not friends or neighbours. I know a couple of other players who have had the same type of problem. Perhaps the number of slots could be reduced after all we can have a max of 3 crates where we are allowed help on a boat, then it would not take as long to get rid of any unwanted visitor.

Have you had any problems?

I believe the only farmers that have issue with the last helpers tab are farmers that share your plight of being annoyed when your RSS is consumed to your disliking.

It's a gift to some and a curse to others. Par for the course.

Thank you for posting this...and thank goodness im not alone in thinking it is a problem.

Im having major problems ATM because of this very issue and am coming out of hiding (momentarily) to respond to this specific topic.

I currently have two farms I WISH I NEVER HELPED, that have caused enormous grief, and reduced my playing (and thus enjoyment) of the game significantly! If you knew my life circumstances, you might appreciate just how much of an impact this has had on my day-day living.

Why it was ever introduced I do not know? Its not as if people werent getting trees watered or boats filled before?

It used to be that browsing the DD and visiting a new farm for a 'look-see' yielded surprising delight at spotting a tree that needed re-viving, or perhaps filling the odd boat crate here or there.

What we have now are a greedy few who SCOUR the DD in search ONLY of farms that require "help".
From this, they also get to amass a large list of "preferred farms" to keep returning to as often as they see fit, and from my personal experience, abuse the right of entry to continually wipe you out of your best goods (BTW my "helpers" are 20+ levels above me), and drive you loopy in the process!

YOU DONT EVER DROP OFF THEIR LIST IF THEY DONT WANT YOU TO EITHER...(welcome to my personal gaming hell)

Personally, I only stock my RSS for F&N...but if I do advertise, then naturally I expect to have the wider public come and buy my (all?) goods.
That used to be my choice! It isnt any longer.

Call me paranoid, but I WONT EVER help another unknown persons boat or help re-vive their trees EVER AGAIN. Heck, I wont even use the alert flag to have my own boats helped or trees watered ATM.

If you had been in my shoes these past few weeks you might understand that.

Its a sad day indeed when you cannot freely help strangers farms, and especially new/lower level players as was my personal thrill.

I thought the saying for this game was "play how you want to play".
Thats impossible when you are not free to buy, sell, visit, help etc as you want...not when you are being stalked by a couple of "unknown" (and definitely unwanted) farms.

Get rid of this "nuisance" flag and give us something that has a positive aspect to both player and game, which doesn't procure greed please.

Holidae when you advertise, you are "inviting" people to your farm....saying "come and get it!"

This is not via invitation....it is (in my current circumstances) more like a home invasion.

The only way you can pick up nefarious strangers on to helper tab is by your helping them on their farm either reviving their bushes or fruit trees and their boat order after perhaps their advertising in the DD. You then go on to their helper tab and they have access to your farm and RSS. The only other way they can find your RSS is through the boat leader board.


You could be on their helper list forever if no one else helps them so unfortunately you will be stuck with them, my advice is don't help strangers with boat orders or trees/bush revival.


If you have an unwanted stranger just sell corn bread at the highest price and they will soon get fed up! And hopefully they will go away.

I really don't understand this post. I get great fun from finding stuff I want in people's stands. Is that what people are calling RSS? Why would it matter to you if a stranger buys it? I don't get this at all. I'm obviously missing something....

Yes, stands = RSS, but I do think you are missing Donsta's point. Some players put goods in their RSS to help their friends and neighbours and very rarely advertise in the DD. We understand that if you advertise you are inviting players to buy any and everything you have for sale- Fair game. However, when you visit the DD and see someone needs help to fill their boat or revive trees/bushes you automatically are added to their 'last helpers list', this is where some players abuse the player who helped them as they now have access to the helpers farm and RSS. When you have paid numerous diamonds to open lots of boxes, so that you can help your friends/neighbours more, it it upsetting as you will have gathered by Donsta's plight, to have the 'uninvited' player who will buy almost everything you have. BTW I have over 100 slots, so can empathise with Donsta and understand how it can take the enjoyment out of the game.

Personally, I would rather remain as an anonymous gifter, but was interested to hear other players perceptions and ideas.

I never had a problem with people buying from my RSS (shop, stand) or buying what I needed from other shops. That is, until I joined the forum. Then I started reading about raiding shops and people being greedy. Wow! Really?! I also started to get upset because others were buying my goods that I put there for my friends!

Put the skids on for a minute. Then why the double deuce moose was I putting things in my RSS? To sell them. Does it matter who buys them? No. I'm putting them in my shop to make coins. So now I am no longer friends with people that are worried you are going to buy too much from their shop.

I have not helped strangers in forever for the reasons stated here. I picked up a visitor though that I have not been able to find anyplace. I can't find him in my friend list or the boat leader board. He does not have a pic so I can't trace who he is that way. He comes usually once a day and buys everything in my shop matter what I have out. Since I posted to Johns thread he has been better so I don't know if he read that or not. I was on the point though of deleting everyone that does not have a pic. I may have to do that anyway. But I'm not sure that would get rid of him. He has been around for a couple of months now.

Ditto here! I helped a few farms last week from the DD and was wiped out in the RSS for days by 2 of them. One followed me and I promptly deleted them. I guess I dropped off their helper list by now because I haven't had a problem for a day now. But the other one is a pest. I understand that that maybe they "need" the goods ok great. Save a few for my loyal friends and followers. Hopefully this other one will be gone soon. I'm trying to mostly stock with things that their lvl doesn't permit them to buy.

Now I know about the blah blah on how if its in your RSS then it's up for grabs. But I'm I'm referring to just one bad apple here. I love when my goods are sold quickly but I also like to have my friends have something to choose from when they stop by.

I also like to advertise from time to time.

It is about BEING INVITED - that is, I advertise....you come.

As it stands, I have NO CHOICE when certain people come or not and believed that was my right...hence the option/CHOICE to "advertise"

In that regard, helping someone that is not a follower or friend is an invitation for them to visit your farm as well. Simple solution for those with concern is to not help strangers just as you don't advertise your sales.

For those that have acquired an unwanted farmer, lesson learned. It's out of your control but I wish you all the best in discarding them. I gathered you've tried selling unwanted items for an extending period of time in order to discourage them. Some farmers are more patient than others so they'll hang in there much longer.

Unfortunately some have allowed this to affect their enjoyment of the game. I've chosen the opposite. So the (rhetorical) question remains, what are you going to do about it?

You asked why was this introduced? It was a requested feature.

As mentioned, play how you want to play isn't quite true. Play how you want to play within the parameters of the game is more accurate.

I'm a helper, not a premium-seller even if I sell premium sometimes. I don't care who can access my farm.

No, I did not have issue I consider problem. In fact, I barely remember any.
The last helper tab is necessary for my trick to put a friend in Follower tab. I love it.
Have a limit of time someone stay on this tab.
If it is not Hay Day's bug, I have seen 2 random people on Last helper tab dissapeared (tab always have 4 before, now 2). I did not notice how long.

You are correct, it's play within the parameters of the game. Solution as you said is simple, don't advertise and don't help strangers.

I don't understand all these special rules and then people getting mad because no one else is following them. They are not the rules to the game, no one can possibly keep track of everyone's crazy rules they make up.

When you go to the store to buy your goods, they are not just from your neighbors farms, they come from all over the world. So why should Hay Day be any different? I play exactly like I shop in real life, I first check my local goods and buy those first and when I can't find what I need, I then check the world goods and buy from them. Same for the workplace, if you need a job done and no one local does that work, then you look outside of your area to get it done.

I play often, and I have a ton of neighbors, however there are times when I need my goods gone or need help and no neighbor comes. So I use the DD to sell and to get help. I don't put my good stuff in my RSS until I'm done seeking help. Wheat comes in handy, as do eggs and some of the other items that you can find anywhere. Put them all at full price, then there is no reason for some stranger to want to stalk your RSS.

I help people via the DD every day, it's all about the thank you letters equalling mystery boxes equalling hopefully more diamonds. When I have orders to fulfill, boat or truck, and don't have the items in my inventory then I scour the dd and go through my lists. I played on and off for ages, but thanks to new iPad (last one was an original, antique lol) and the android app and redundancy I play much more. Reading this thread, I'm now mortified that I may have upset other players. Thought I was just 'playing the game' and the joy of seeing a RSS stocked with items I'm desperate for was part of it?

to be fair, most players (especially those not belonging to the forum) wouldn't realise it was perceived to be rude, and shall we say malicious? I've often thought it's a shame there isn't a button in the rss that says 'thanks a lot, you've just helped me tons, ever so grateful' that you can hit when you find a shop that gets you out of a supply 'hole'.

Thanks for explaining. I now understand what is being perceived as a problem but I still don't understand why.

Hayday has its own rules and you can't make up rules for how you want it to be played and then expect everyone to adhere to them (or know about them).

if it is in someone's shop, it is up for sale to anyone who sees it. That is how the game works and it is why it works so well. If we all tried to horde all our items for our friends only, there would be very little on general sale. How would new players get started?

I personally consider "any sale is a good sale." From reading this thread I understand there are two very different views of the RSS: one the same as mine, and one viewing their RSS as first for their friends and neighbors then second for "strangers."

Seems to me both views are valid. Neither is against the rules, neither is more compliant with the rules than the other. However, there is no way for me to tell which camp a particular RSS is in, unless the name spells it out. I visited one farm where the name was "Last box for grandson only." Pretty clear, stay away from last box.

in my opinion, if I buy up every box in a RSS, how can it be rude if I had no idea the owner didn't want me to? The stuff is there, it's posted with no restrictions available to me as a buyer, I want to buy it. Period. No value judgements. If it's a secret to me that the owner doesn't want me to do that, how can it be rude?

Just my two cents.

Ps, I search a lot of stranger RSS off the challenge "recent contributor" list available in the "global" tab. Also the leader boards. Current and recent challenges. Maybe there are other ways?

And im having fun to let others get stuff that they need
I usually sell wheat 10 for 1 because i love doing wheatering
And sell corn, carrots, soybean, sugar cane at it basic price 20 20 30 40
And i dont mind strangers buy all of them

The last helpers tab has been a great timesaver and help for me as I go back and forth between my farm and my hubby's lower level farm. He has 5 friends so he can get to me quickly. I have 450, so it tales me a while to find him. When he's on my LH tab, that is a great thing -- plus he helps me frequently (in game) to stay there.

I also like that I can look and see if any of my LH themselves need help -- then I help them first. When I help my friends, I start at the LH tab, then go to the ! tab.

I don't care who buys what in my shop -- I put it there to make it gone. I fill crates for neighbors several times a day -- that is how I help them :)

as i see it if its in my rss its go for it! If u dont want someone to buy dont sell or do wheating to make a special one for that item! Otherwise i sell to get rid of items when barn/ silo is full or to get cash so the more u buy the better.... Ive sometimes had noone buying in my rss for a while and then i feel sad....and the things are blocking up my producing too!

I needed help with a boat order and some nice person swooped in to help. Thank you very, very much. When I looked to see who it was, I saw they needed help as well. So, i was able to return the kindness.

I adore the LH tab personally. These people are often playing RIGHT NOW and may have some items I need in their RSS, so I love to visit LHers. So far I have not been stalked and thank my stars. Very painful to read your ordeals.

i love being visited, helped, and sold out. But not raided, thanks!

And I help others when I can, mostly if we have a relationship but also if they are strangers. Maybe need to be more circumspect.

I was going to say pretty much the same thing that Perky posted. I like the LH tab for these same reasons. I also always check LH stands first when I go shopping.

On another note, I am a click happy shopper. I LOVE buying stuff! However, if I were to come across a farm titled "No Raiders Please", or "Two Item Limit" for instance, I would respect that farmers wishes. Have you players who don't like others buying many items tried stating that in your farm name?

I think it comes down to loyalty. Like many others, I have reached a level where making coins is not the be all and end all of the game. My warm fuzzies come from helping others, especially the followers who have been with me from early on and those I befriended early on. So, I rarely advertise my goods and put them in the RSS at slightly discounted prices in order to reward the loyalty of those who have helped me out over the past year. I am therefore, disappointed when someone I have helped via the DD (I help those I have bought from, if I can) suddenly starts buying everything on multiple occasions, especially if they don't return the favour by neglecting to water a needy tree or bush while they are on my farm. Is an extra tap or two so hard to do? Strangers taking without giving back is, I think, what upsets those who are trying to help their loyal, long-time neighbours. I always go thru my LH list to see if I can return the favour, and as a consequence, some of my LHers are now followers. When people reciprocate favours, it works well and it's great, but when people are selfish, it doesn't work so well and can cause negative feelings. Personally, I now consider how many crates a person has completed themselves, whether there is evidence that they are working on filling empty crates themselves, the general appearance of their Fran, especially if they have kept some original trees and ponds and rocks before I will help a stranger now, because of the selfish behaviour of some. In other words, I try and judge if the farmer has the same ideologies as myself and will be a suitable neighbour before I help. I won't help someone who hasn't attempted to fill even one crate themselves, or who has forests of dead trees, or unfed animals. That way I hope to avoid picking up stalkers/raiders. It's sad that I feel I have to do that, I feel like it's bringing the failings of RL society into my idyllic farming environment, and that is disappointing for me.

I have absolutely no problem with the LH tab...

I ALWAYS will go to my Last Helpers' farms and give them a "Like"! ALWAYS. Because I appreciate their help. And yes, I check their RSS as well when I need items. My RSS gets raided (as some would call it) by one person quite often. Do I care? NO! I am happy that someone needs/wants the items I sell. :) I have also picked up a couple of Friends because of the LH tab. We help each other out quite often.

My Sister and Nephew play this game as well. When they need help they call me and I can sell items to them exclusively while on the phone. I know they are 'sitting' at my RSS and will immediately buy what I'm selling. I know this isn't possible for most players.

Last of all:

Hay Day is a PUBLIC game! There are ways to keep your farm "private" if that is your wish, you just have to find them. Like others have said, there is no way to know who is particular about who buys their stuff and to expect people to know is just beyond reason.

This thread makes me not wanna help random farms for fear of 'raiding'.

Maybe y'all should just take it as a compliment that you sell such good stuff at great prices. :)

LOVE this idea! The thank you letters are good but sometimes you want to say an extra special thanks....

I didn't intend to start an etiquette thread, just wanted peoples' thoughts and opinions on this particular feature of the game and I do realise that this is JUST A GAME. So thank you everyone who has taken the time to leave their concerns and/or praises of this feature. We all play the game in our own way and sometimes have to amend how we play to get more enjoyment out of the game. However you play, happy Hay Daying and thanks.

Instead of a thank you for a special purchase, how about we gift them something? I am so grateful to some of my friends for selling me such wonderful items that a nice jam or cup of sugar is warranted, and it would be really nice if I could gift them this. I am going to post this in the Ideas and Features thread as well.

ditto here - I like the last helpers tab for exactly the same reasons:):) A thank you button would be nice too.

Since SC gives us the option of advertising or not, it seemsl iek some measure of controlling access to our RSS is part of the game. I love to have lots of variety of things to offer to offer to neighbors. I also advertise several times a day. The point is that I can choose which products to offer in which ways. The LH button does take that away.

i did have a stalker who was very hard to track down - I wasn't able to do so until they followed me and I could delete them. And "No Raiders Pls" is in my farm name.

i just wish there were a way for those of us who want to offer certain things to neighbors vs. the general public to do so. My neighbors are so helpful that I like to make sure to have good things for them, too.

I really love the "last helpers" tab. While I realize that some people who play the I-don't-know-what-to-call-it-small-circle-of-friends type game that the original poster (Flijo) prefers occasionally pick up players that they consider to be pests in this way, for me it has been a way to form some mutually helpful co-operations that I would not have been able to establish in any other way.

But I find that the most useful feature of this "last helpers" tab it that it is a mechanism for forming a short list of currently active players. I have a problem in that, between friends and followers, I have about 200 neighbors. This is a great thing because it means that among them someone has their help flag out most of the time, and at any given time, at least several of them will be actively playing. However, figuring out who has something in their store but who does not need help is unwieldy, to say the least. So what I do is flag a tree, wait a few minutes, flag another tree, wait, and so forth. People drop by and collect their XP (and buy stuff from my store--yay!), and then I have a list of who is currently playing. This gives me a good idea who will have something for sale in their store, and who would be available if I am looking to trade something. Also, if you are communicating with someone by PM to set up a trade, the "last helpers" list is a lot more easily manipulated than the friends list.

Well this whole thread makes depressing reading in my opinion. It had never occurred to me, simple as I am, that people were so underhanded, manipulative, mersonary even, when playing such a lovely, on the face of it, innocent, game. Hay day is my first experience of gaming and I absolutely love it. I'm about to break level 43 and each day I get enjoyment, relaxation and escapism from it. When visiting someone's RSS I have only ever purchased the things I need. It never entered my head to buy everything just because I could! (This thread does explain why, when purchasing 4 out of 5 items in one person's RSS I was promptly unfriended - guess they thought it was a 'raid'.) Certainly I have visited farms in the DD that need help. I'm always grateful when someone helps me and in doing the same favour for somebody else I get to earn vouchers for the things I want for my farm. Again, it never occurred to me that I would put myself in the way of being 'abused' by so doing! When visiting an RSS, regardless of how I came upon it, I never realised that I may or may not be welcome to buy from it and now wonder for the future how I am to know? Potentially any purchase may offend!

For me this game I something I do for fun. I wrongly presumed that that's what everyone else was doing too!

Yes Donsta it is nice and you are correct, it is everyone's choice as to how they play.

I used to get upset because someone I didn't invite bought almost everything in my shop. I lost the fun and joy the game had brought me in the beginning. I deleted all my followers. After all, I didn't invite them to be my friends.

Then one day the final straw came. I deleted everyone, including friends. I sold everything in my barn and silo for base price. I let every tree and bush wither up and just left them on my farm. I didn't play the game anymore.

I am now back, but I play the game very differently. I welcome all my followers and those on my LH tab. I enjoy helping fill crates for someone I run across in the paper.

The he point is, I now enjoy the game once again.

But, as you stated, it is my choice and the way everyone else plays is their choice.

since they help me with my boat as much as they can, I really don't mind. I'm not one for finding raiders a problem anyway, I'm really not bothered who buys what and how much. I myself am not much of a raider with my neighbors, I only buy what I need. When other people buy from me, I never know what their motives are. They could be stocking up to help others with their boats, just as they help me so much. I really can't fault them. If I put stuff on my stand, I expect the items to be bought. By who doesn't really bother me. If I have something for a specific someone, it means I need to coordinate with them on when I put the item up or else it will be bought by someone else. So far that's worked ok for me however.

I like having the last helpers tab because I like to help those who helped me, if I can.

In the interest of satisfying the greatest number of players, perhaps the game needs an "anonymous" mode that could be optionally turned on by the player? In this mode, your link would not appear in the "last helpers" list, you would not get thank you notes, your name would not appear on purchases or helped trees, and you would not appear on the boat leader board.

Just a thought.

Some "stalker" liked my farm, no idea how he found me, perhaps through the recent contributors during one of the latest global events. I tried it myself (with my ipad), liked a random farm via clicking the smiley and because I'm connected to facebook, they appear in my activity log forever...and I can access their farm whenever I want to. The farm owner in question doesnt have to be on fb himself even. Tried it with a friend, who only uses GC. I don't enjoy playng anymore...whatever whenever I put something up, it is almost immediatly grabbed by this person. I feel like making stuff for a single peron only. They seem to camp at my shop, nothing I can do about it.

I use it in this way too because with between about 250 f&n negotiating to their farm using the friends or followers tabs can take a long time. Thank you Powdermonkey for pointing out some of the positive features of the last helpers button but I still feel for those who are upset, to the point of not enjoying, or even stopping playing because of the negative points and am pleased that most players are willing to acknowledge that too

That is a disturbing thought. I was unaware anyone could find a farm they liked via Facebook. Does it work the other way around?

Thanks for the suggestion of choosing to be anonymous powder monkey, that would then make it the choice of the giver whether to 'invite' a player onto their farm. Great idea that ticks all the boxes.

Wilow, thanks. From their username, I think I figured out their time zone (not 100% sure tho) so I put stuff at odd times (their time). We are friends, highlight my signature and get some :D

Ps: once a person liked your farm they can access it via their activity log. Not sure many ppl know about it. I myself always used to like a farm as a way to say thank you. They, however, may or may not get a notice "xyz has liked your farm", but you can't access their farm if you you are "liked"...if it is a rare name you may try and find it through the search feature on FB but with my Ahmet I have not had any luck, too common ;)

I think it is way easier to help friends by filling boat crates than it is to try and sell directly to them in the RSS. It seems like a lot of stress that some players have over checking who buys what and how many. I help strangers all the time and sometimes they do come and buy everything from me. It isn't always a nice feeling, so I do understand what people are talking about. I just choose not to worry about it. It's much more fun to try and help as many people as you can than trying to control the RSS.

I have to also say that this is the one subject on these forums that has affected my gameplay the most in a negative way. I generally don't buy anything from my friends because of fear of them thinking that I'm the wrong person to buy. I don't like the stress of having to think about how many items is the correct amount to buy and how often. I do sometimes buy common items like wool and bacon and such from them when I need it. Mostly I just try and find the things I need in the DD. So much easier that trying to worry about who I can and who I can't buy from.

I used to be more concerned about this, but now I buy whatever I want from DD ads, and from neighbors a thing or two. If that is an issue, then I accept I may be un friended. That is ok. It is more important to me to be in a community where playing styles are compatible than to try to salvage an incompatible situation by compromising my enjoyment of the game.

I wish there were more tabs in last helpers, I like it and I use it often. Some of the players that I really like disappear way to soon. I already follow as many as the game allows(wish there were more tabs for that), I don't want to delete them and add in ones in my last helper tab. So getting rid of some of these tabs would make you happy, but others like myself unhappy.

I think this is a great point. Maybe It would be better to just buy anything I need and not worry about it at all. They do have the option of unfriending me if they don't like it like you said. There is also the possibility, you know, that my friends are upset that I DON'T buy from them. Very difficult to try and play so that everybody is happy. lol.

The last helpers tab is comprised of people who have helped me. I can go via that link to their farms, but am not aware that they can come to mine that way. Right? Maybe I am missing something. I do not see the names of farms I have helped, except on the thank you notes. I haven't tried to follow the note to a farm; does that work? If it does not, then I see no way to visit a non-friend farm that I have helped and if I understand this thread, that is where many say the problem is. Before we could hope to delete someone from the group of people we have helped, we would need access.

I wonder if that in itself would help. Right now the access is not reciprocal. Maybe if it was there would be fewer problems.

If the problem is with people who have helped us, then it would seem to work to be able to delete them if a problem arises.

I agree with you about the value of last helper list, I use it daily to help those who have helped me. I don't know that I would want farms on it longer, but if we had more watched slots, I would like to add farms from that list sometimes.

That's not difficult -- IT'S IMPOSSIBLE.

Who knows what is happening in the life/head of the player on the other end of the transaction? We are PLAYERS not MIND-READERS.

None of us can really know how our purchases affect others -- whether they make then happy, or angry, or thankful, or grateful -- UNLESS WE ARE TOLD.

I am always grateful for any purchase because, like I said earlier, if it is in my shop I want/need it G-O-N-E. I am ESPECIALLY grateful for ANY player who buys all those eggs I sell at 100 coins because my chickens are such great laying hens.

My advice: Just play YOUR game the way it makes YOU happy, and let others be responsible for their own happiness.

If you get unfriended, that could be because of a glitch, because someone wants to downsize their friends list, because someone is leaving the game, because someone's child or grandchild deleted game center, because because because. It could be a million things OTHER THAN you bought too much at once.

Speaking for myself, I don't take unfriendings personally, because I can't know why it happens.

I hope folks will not spend time worrying about what they can never know, and just enjoy what they DO know -- how much fun it is to play this cute farming game. :)

the negative aspect of having someone take over your farm is that, in the extreme case, they buy everything you put in the RSS as soon as you post it. It happened to me for a week; I understand how it can affect a players experience with the game. It is related to how much is purchased, though not the same issue.

I think it is influenced by attitudes about the RSS, too. If you sell mostly common items at or near top price, purchase configuration (who and how often) probably won't matter too much. If you produce and search for premium items to post in your store, or sell at a substantial discount, both of which are less easily sustainable, it might matter more. If you are selling solely as commerce, it won't matter who buys. If you are selling to help others associated through the game to your farm, it might matter more. I don't know, but suspect not many people who have had their farm influenced by the kind of event you are talking about would embrace the experience regardless of their sales philosophy.

as I understand it, the issue is more with farms that have been helped, not farms that helped you. The last helpers list is farms that helped you. I feel kindly inclined towards those players since at the inception of our association they did something for me. I want to return the favor.

i am just wondering how many of us who have had an issue, had it via the last helpers list versus the unknown pool of people we last helped. Adjusting the last helpers list will not fix this if it is the people we have helped.

The game was designed to be open and social. According to the game rules as designed by the developer, there is no such thing as raiding or stalking. The RSS was designed to be open for anyone and everyone to buy what they wish, whether that be one item or the entire stand in one swipe or repeated swipes.

The concepts of raiding and stalking were created by forum members who don't feel comfortable playing the open game as it's designed but feel more comfortable keeping within their own groups that they've created. This is to be respected as long as they, in turn, don't infringe on those playing the game as designed.

This game was also designed to allow for a myriad of gaming styles from buying out every RSS one sees to selling exclusively to one's neighbors. All playing styles should be respected whether we agree with them or not.

As stated, anytime you help another player's farm, you are inviting them to visit you, whether you like that idea or not. That's the way the game is designed. The only way, again as stated, to keep within a created, secluded group and opt out of the full design of the game is to not help anyone outside your group. If you made the choice to help someone and now regret that choice, I'm afraid you'll just have take the advice of others on how to wait it out until you drop from their Last Helpers Tab.

The OP created this thread in complete innocence of SC's stance on this issue and without knowledge that it would end up in the usual debate. If anyone with ideas or requests on gameplay concepts to resolve this long-standing conflict, you are most welcome to post in the Ideas and Request section. Remember, however, that Ideas and Requests is not a complaint column, so when you post there, be sure to include solutions on how to solve what you see as a issue.

For those who feel intimidated and restricted for fear of infringing on made up rules, remember that being made to feel intimidated and restricted is an infringement upon you. You now know the rules as designed and can make more informed decisions on how you wish to adjust your own playing style accordingly to what you feel comfortable with in how you interact with other players.

The game is ever evolving and changing. They've already introduced the ability to remove followers. Who knows what the future will bring but, for now, this is where it stands.
