I'm not following you I promise, but no again.
Gold is in
no way more valued or rare than elixir.
To max a base in COC you need:
Total Cost (Gold, With Walls) - 2,841,861,450 Gold
Total Cost (Gold Without Walls) - 636,561,450 Gold
Total Cost (Elixir, With Troops/Spells) - 299,062,850 Elixir
Total Cost (Elixir, Without Troops/Spells) - 159,212,850 Elixir
Total Cost (Dark Elixir) - 8,720,000 Dark Elixir
Therefore, unless you manage to spend 2.2 billion Elixir on troops (or around 7.3 million level six archers ;) )
gold is extremely more valuable than elixir. But that's just math, gut feelings always prove to be more right anyway. Right?
EDIT: Economic principle says: Value is determined by the scarcity of the resource. Applied to Clash terms, depending on where you are in the game, and what the players around you are doing, the scarcity of each resource will determine the value of it, and will in time drive the value of said resource back into equilibrium.
