The Valkyrie: An Explanation and Buff Idea
Nobody uses Valkyries. That's the truth, at least for a serious attack. They come after hog riders in the dark barracks, but hog riders are much, much, better.
So what makes the Valkyrie so underused?
1. The troop space, 8, makes it a pain to include in a good strategy
2. The no preferred targethttp://cdncache1-a.akamaihd.net/item...rrow-10x10.png makes it also a pain to control during battle
3. The Valkyrie's attack range is nothing
4. Slow attack speed, almost 2 seconds for each attack
5. It costs Dark Elixir, which makes it even more less used, coupled with the facts listed above, many players want to save dark elixir instead.
I'm almost positive that there are many more reasons as to why the Valkyrie isn't considered a good troop, but to keep this brief, those are the main reasons why people don't use Valkyries.
Now on to the ideas for the buff. This should be fun. :rolleyes:
The current statistics for a max level 4 Valkyrie are listed below:
LEVEL 4 VALKYRIE STATS
Damage Per Second: 124
Damage Per Hit: 223
Hit Points: 1,000

Time to Train: 15 Min.
Attack Speed: Attacks Every 1.8 Seconds
Movement Speed: 24
Attack Type: Area Splash of 1 Tile, Ground Only, No Range

Housing Space: 8As you can see, the slow attack speed and the slow training time ( almost double the wizard ) cripples the Valkyrie the most. If the attack speed and training time were improved upon, the Valkyrie would move closer to the image of decent.
This is my idea of new valkyrie stats, because I'm sure there will be a buff soon.

Damage Per Second: 124
Damage Per Hit: 124
Hit Points: 1,300
Cost to Train: 150 http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__...ark_elixir.png DE
Time to Train: 6 Min.
Attack Speed: Attacks Every 1 Second
Movement Speed: 24
Attack Type: Area Splash of 1.5 Tiles, Ground Only, No Range
Preferred Target: Defenses
Housing Space: 12 (Increased due to high HP and attack rates)
