[Stitch's Diary - 3rd Jan] The downside to the Trap Update

Picture the scene, you're halfway through a nice raiding session, with coffers approaching the brim, all builders happily hammering away, village maidens pleasantly clapping at trees (not Xmas trees, but you haven't given up hope yet), basically all is well in your camp when your wife asks you to do a couple of small chores.

No problem you think. You've just come back from a raid and have around 10 minutes until your next battle. The only slight niggle is you can't request new CC troops for 5 minutes, but it's ok as your iPad is set to sleep after 10 minutes so you have plenty of time to leave it and replenish.

Now I'm no slouch when it comes to chores, but you know how it is when one thing leads to another and before you know it 11 minutes have passed! Panic instantly sets in as you head back to your ipad. Pressing the Home button from a distance reveals the worst, "Your village was raided by ...". From this distance you can't read the name but you're secretly hoping for a username like "I'ma Bawse 36", "Biggest Clasher In The Game", "Killer 54368" or some other name you know wouldn't have a chance of 1 starring you.

Sadly not this time, the name is all too familiar, it's the guy who's base still has the fresh corpses of your fallen warriors all over his lawn, loaososoe from VGE clan. Fingers trembling you swipe the notification to enter the game. Your heart sinks as you first see -41 trophies and you know worst news is yet to come.

The outcome was as grim as it gets! An "Anti-Hog" base design going down 100% to a Hog army. Now at this stage I have no idea if the guy is a genius or a lucky son of a gun, but I do know the CC troops (from my unlurable CC) would have helped. Must be a day for learning as the wife also learnt what my scowl face looks like.

Before you ask the replay will never see the light of day, as I'm not in the business of teaching "How to 100% Stitch in 3 easy steps"!

Having slightly come to terms with losing 400k / 400k / 3k. I dusted myself off and began the clean up (refilling x-bows / ITs and removing tombstones). Basically trying to return the village to the happy place it once was. This was when the final blow was delivered ....

I almost fell off my chair when casually clicking on a spring trap to re-arm it and the following message appeared:

Another 115k Gold! I hold my hands up. You got the better of me this time loaososoe from VGE clan. Until we meet again ...

It's a great story, but your pictures are a tad too small to actually look at. :confused:

Traps has always been costly, now there's just a quick popup reminder that tallies it up for you and allows you to throw away your gold in one swell swoop.

Being 100% flattened/smashed sucks, but totally part of the game. You're bound to get 100% flattened by some genius raider or a an offensely maxed out player down the road. The only fortunate thing is, it doesn't happen very often and you just have to forget about this one and farm back what you lost and more. ;)

Sorry, that really hurts. Hogs are still very good against TH9s... and experienced attackers will not fail.

Picture this scene. You break your shield to do some raids. You do a good one, and while waiting for your BAM army decide to check the forums. You read stitches post, and when your done, go back to CoC to see how many troops have trained, when all of a sudden your under attack! Your were only 30 seconds late. "If only stitch didn't make his complaint post so long," you think to yourself, "I wouldn't have to make one of my own. ;)

Something tells me that you will grow stronger from this as your significant other will now feel as though you deserve a new iPad device or perhaps some gems?! :)

Just as I was reading "your village was raided by" I recieved the notification from the top of my phone "your village has been raided by....". Thankfully i have copied the majority of the clash community and have left my th outside walls lost 10 cups 1k of each and only have a santas suprise to rearm.
