Same issues. I have commented in other threads also. This thing does not work but SC does nothing to acknowledge a problem or tell us what if anything is being done to fix this. I have been a clan leader for over 5 years but am really getting frustrated to the point of just walking away from this game!!!!

There are plenty of comments on the tournament, th13, December update, etc. from the powers that be, yet nothing on this recruiting failure. Dead air. Assuming these comments are being read, why the lack of response? "I Feel Your Pain" would be something worth hearing.

nonsense aside, If you created a thread with all alternative in and out of games ways to recruit, provided a litttle detail how to get involved in them and rated each tentarively, you would begin to close the gap (not really just trying to Encourage you).

I explained to the leader of the clan I used to lead, about the Clash discord recruiting option, and the response was ”whats a discord”. Couple of the younger folks had a good laugh, and a few of the older too, and after a little chiding I have him the details. Allthough he doesnt really know where to start. Some simple instructions and helpful hints in a little book (er I mean post) would go along way. I dont know If there are any third part apps which would be recruiting based that supercell would have a problem with, so best check with them. Dont to focus ts app.

Thanks for volenteering for this 2222, its nice to know when things get crazy, I can relax and call 2222.

I agree. I never said that the recruitment tool was perfect and some filters would be nice. However, if you give people an option to search for th12 then everyone will search for them. They they will all get full inboxes and no one will be able to find anyone to recruit. It would be better but not the perfect solution.

I was addressing the people who seem to expect the tool to give them great new members. I have seen many references to “useless members” who are low level or rushed. People are going to have to lower their standards on who they are accepting. Global allowed people to occasionally get lucky. The new tool has no luck involved, just cutthroat competition between clans.

Ha, thanks, but I’m much too busy blabbering on all these threads to start that thread. Also, I’m inexperienced with alternative recruiting anyway. My clan of roughly 50 (think we are at 48 or 49 today) was recruiting all by global or one of us knowing the player. Also, by the way, Onyx is my favorite poster too. While I have much more quantity, Onyx has much more quality :)

Any improvement would be welcomed, even if it wasn’t perfect. I thought of the issue of th12s getting all the invites. On the one hand, I wonder whether a player should have to have a certain hall level to invite a th12. On the other, after sending out many th12 invites that little clan that isn’t growing would likely eventually expand their search filters to allow them to invite players that may actually respond. If we really wanted to improve things even more, in addition to adding the filters I mentioned earlier for the clan that is searching for players, filters that players can set in order to show up in any searches would be great too. In other words, that th12 might set a filter that says they only want invites from clans with 400+ war wins and level 10+. Any clan that runs a search that doesn’t meet those filter settings won’t see that th12 in their search results.

The tool really has the chance to be very good if it is improved over time. Right now it doesn’t seem to work for me.

I don't post to much on the forum but since the update recruitment is dead, absolutely dead. Global chat was not perfect but worked. The new system has not given us one new member and inviting is impossible. Either you find people that are clearly inactive or they have their mailbox full. It is easy to have both systems co-exist for the time needed to fix the new system. Right now we don't have anything. There are way too many flaws to the idea at the moment... maybe a mix of both.. a global chat where you can only communicate in a prescribed way, but at least you bring an active recruiter together with a player that actively looks for a new clan.

Update.

I actually received what I think were invites! I can't be sure though, since I don't speak Arabic, Korean, or whatever the Bangla-dialect is. Perhaps they were just calling me rude names, as a final salute to global; I don't know. However, that was three days ago, and not being quite that desperate for a clan (silly me), they were all rejected and nothing since.

Clan search still gives me a choice between the same (now reduced to) 17 clans, which are either full or not even close to my language preferences.

Friends list and bookmarks are still nowhere to be found, and I find that the wonderful advice of 'be patient, they may come back with the December update' doesn't exactly inspire my confidence that anything at all is being addressed regarding this cluster fudge.

But, hey!, once again I'm being notified that there are five new packs that I can purchase, and there's still a day left to buy this months electronic paper doll! Oh, Joy! Oh, Rapture!

Who cares. The game is a joke anyway. They've made the Battle Machine in the Builder Base useless, and the foreigners that use bots or spend all their money on gems jack up their troops to the max so you can't beat them. I quit joining clans years ago. That part of the game is a joke as well since you have to spend $$$$$$$$$$$$ just to do simple upgrades past TH12. It's nothing more than a money grab.

I can't make much sense of this. The battle machine in the builder base doesn't have the best AI, but it certainly isn't useless. Your next sentence refers to "foreigners" which makes little sense given it is an international game so we are all foreign to someone. I do agree bots are bad, which is why I was happy SC has finally cracked down on them (go read the bot website forums to see them noting how they are all getting banned). As for using gems to upgrade troops to the max, I'm not sure what you are referring to. You certainly don't need gems to have max troops. You haven't been in a clan for years so you aren't in a position to know whether "that part" of the game is a joke. There is no upgrading past th12 and there is no point in the game where you have to spend money in order to upgrade. Your closing sentence of a "money grab" offers no context as to what "it" is so I don't know what you are talking about. If you mean the game itself is designed to get players to play and spend money then, well, yeah.
