I am starting to think the whole thing was/is intentionally bad to try and slim down the number of clans in the game.
interesting, I think out recent recruits came from clans that were becoming low activity. One of the guys joked there more chat in 5 minutes in the clan than a week in his previous. He brought a few buddies too.
what is the advantage to fewer clans, lower costs to less computing power.
I think people are expecting way too much from the recruitment tool. The ideal tool would be a tool where every clan can find players that fit their clan and are willing to join. However, this is not possible. There are too many clans and too few players. Even if sc “fixes” the recruitment tool, clans will still have trouble finding players. This is why so many people have full inboxes, there are too many clans trying to invite too few players.
Global rewarded the most dedicated leaders. A leader who was willing to beg on global for 5 hours would eventually get more people that a person begging for 1 hour. The new tool changed this. It is no longer about dedication, now, clans have to stand on their own merit. The tool makes everything but clan stats equal, all the player can see is an invite and clan stats.
The top clans will prosper as players want to join them. They will suck up all the top level players. The mid level clans will have to adjust. They will have to dig lower for players or die. Clans that only accepted th9 and up before will now have to take 7s. They will have to take more rushed bases. This is the inevitable result of the tool once it works. The low level clans will die, no more th6 begging on global.
I do not think the new recruitment tool is perfect. However, none of the potential fixes will change the underlying problem, there are too many clans and too few players. While people can argue that global was a better system, it is never coming back so people have to accept the new system.
This makes sense, and I would like to believe this - I think there are serious bugs that need to be ironed out though. For example, several of us (myself included) have set ourselves to accept invites, and haven't seen any. I am a close-to-maxed TH12 (50 walls and a couple of lab upgrades to go), and others doing so are maxed themselves. If this were true, these stronger bases should be getting all kinds of invites, should we not? Even setting the base level aside, if we were appearing an anyone's search results, I would think our inboxes would fill up just from people spam-inviting everyone they can.
I have no way of definitively knowing this - but if the tool is only capable of finding a small percentage of the player base, then this needs to be worked out before we can determine that it's a supply/demand problem.
I can randomly pick almost any shopping website right now and there is a good chance that website will allow me to pick from a long list of filters that exclude from my search results anything that didn’t fall within those filters. I don’t think it is too much to ask for something like that so I can actually get a list of players I might be interested in inviting. (We also still need the fix of not showing us players with full in boxes.)
The no invites issue might be related to an issue I'm having. My in box mail disappears. I send mail and others send mail and in a short time my mail box is empty. I did finally get my first recruited member to join. Since I just invite virtually everything, I was surprised to get English speaking! Rushed TH10 with as many donations as war stars! Will put them in war spin anyway!
We should have an option of "attack daily" instead of "active daily"
and the list should not display the clasher's who has full inbox
# of clashers joined my clan~ 0~
in last 1 week , 1 guy applied today via discord , who eventually hopped the clan lol
Will try my luck again today
This is indeed how we have done it all along... Upside is longevity of members, trust of members (especially in clans with young ones), generally fun to participate with friends, co-workers, and family. Downside is: pretty tough to kick poor performers, likely to perform average in war since you are not screening for ability... just willing participants. But as I say... That's how we have been running our clan for the most part.
Your posts keep me off the forum, which Im sure many thank you for. Once again you hit the nail on the head, wanted to rep you but had to spread it around. If it Were not for onyx you may be my favorite game specialist, but as long as hes around well, hes got a very long head start. Allthough you do have those running shoes, but I dont wamt to FORCE you to put them on. For those confused Im not even sure 2222 knows what Im talking about.
nonsense aside, If you created a thread with all alternative in and out of games ways to recruit, provided a litttle detail how to get involved in them and rated each tentarively, you would begin to close the gap (not really just trying to Encourage you).
I explained to the leader of the clan I used to lead, about the Clash discord recruiting option, and the response was ”whats a discord”. Couple of the younger folks had a good laugh, and a few of the older too, and after a little chiding I have him the details. Allthough he doesnt really know where to start. Some simple instructions and helpful hints in a little book (er I mean post) would go along way. I dont know If there are any third part apps which would be recruiting based that supercell would have a problem with, so best check with them. Dont to focus ts app.
Thanks for volenteering for this 2222, its nice to know when things get crazy, I can relax and call 2222.
