I like this update.Just few improvements needed in Recruting tool.
No cooldown for moving traps and tesla in bases will help alot as I generally make bases but leave traps for later.
Also, now we can join a new clan while already being in a clan.Thats helpful,when you are trying to get into TH12 FC clans which are full almost all the time.
As a mobile game, is there any particular reason SC chose to stop supporting CoC x86? Is this permanent or might support come back at some point?Quote:

I think the huge pic of the hero skin is totally unnecessary. If I'm looking at someone's profile, it's to see their TH level, war stars, troop levels. I could care less that they have a Pekka King and I don't need it in my face taking up 1/4 of the screen.
Agree with what most people are saying, not against the change but don't really like the big 3d hero, dont think it's necessary and it kind of gets in the way of what im looking for :thumbsup:
Iv really enjoyed this game over the years it’s such a shame that this new update has killed the game for me. Global chat was great to have a conversation on and find new clan mates. Now how is it possible

I would really love a patch that turns everyone’s choice of whether to receive invites to “off” and an in-game note that tells people to turn it back on if they want it on. Right now the recruiting function is not very useful given most of the players I see are already in clans, co-leaders, even leaders.
I have a question.
How many people have to leave before supercell realise what a massive mistake removing global was?
Pity I probably won’t be around to find out, just a few hours in and I’m bored already, nothing to do whilst waiting for army to train.
The gigantic picture of the stupid skins is about the most ugly thing ever. Idk who thought that was a good idea, but it's hideous.
Also losing all the quick-train armies really hurts.
Also woulda been nice if SC had started the seasonal point challenges when they released seasonal challenges rather than months later. Pretty obvious thing to add.
Aside from the events, not much to enjoy this update...o well.

Without the global this game doesn't work for me any longer. With the new recruitment system I'm unable to find members for my clan.I don't need inaktive members, rushers or Th7 and Th8 for CWL( Also Th4 suggestested :saywhat:). So my little clan will die :(No availability to search clanless players, players from my country, ... When I'm searching for "daily online" the system suggested players without League...
I'm missing the global chat, talking to others. It's now boring, like a PC without internet...
I haven't played today since Update. First time in the last 3 years .
52 walls from Th12 max out I think that it is time go say goodbye for me. It feels like a game I loved one day has died today.

This has been the most disappointing update that I can remember.. the best part is adding the extra quick train slot, and quite frankly that's fairly unnecessary. I've clicked my own clan name about 100 times already looking for global, and am tired of the giant hero pictures already, what a mess .
The recruitment tool needs some work, refining search result for people by language, location, in a clan or not, etc.. without being able to communicate with someone before inviting is a huge negative too..
You guys successfully made the game worse, congrats, I hope the money u saved is worth it.
Why is there so much complaining? Only 1% used global. And therefore only 1% recruited within the game.
I am just inviting everyone that is on my list! My clan is full so nobody can get in! Finding many that their in box full so I must not be the only one!
Doubtful we see an actual clanless player on recruiting list for quite a while. Since everyone has default to accepting invites!
I jumped out for a couple hours and didn't get an invite one!

I think a better way to find new members without a global chat is by adding more options available for finding. We are a professional war clan, but we just cannot find professional and max players as we had when we had the Norsk global where pushers and warriors talk to each other. If we can search by townhall, experience and war stars, then we might as well find the players that we desire. Again, this is just a suggestion, but maybe it will fix people complaining that recruiting is way harder than times when global was functioning. Thanks

For some. I have never recruited on global. Reddit or forums only. Currently 49 in my clan. Not spending time muting and trolling through posts to find the one in a million. Not impressed with the new tool either though.Quote:

Well, this is another unforced error by the devs. Even after they sort out the insanity of defaulting everyone to opt-in for recruiting availability, there are some serious missing filter options that stand out:
- Language
- Location
- Age
- Minimum/Maximum TH level
- Trophies
- Wins per season (Better yet, attacks per season)
- Hero levels
- War stars
That's just the barest minimum. I haven't even bothered looking at the pages above, but Darian will indeed deserve hazard duty pay. The system as introduced, is an embarrassment.
Found plenty. We are adult casual clan. Not fanatics. Not sure about the clan leader that just wants to play the game comment. If all I want to do is play the game, I'll pass the leader role to someone who wants to lead.Quote:

As stated before this is an embarrassment of an update to have gone live with so little testing and user feedback. Basic functionality is lacking.
The key key filters we need to recruit with should be at a very minimum,
Language
Age
Location (time zone)
Plus the fact that is even suggesting players in clan is horrible to be actively encouraging player poaching.
Why is there not more filters for finding players? I have to click on each individual to even see if they are in a clan. This was a huge fail. I am building a clan that is for th10+ and for english speaking players only. Now I'm subjected to trying to recruit players that are th3-th10, they are all rushed or not developed and not from America. Furthermore, I can only see 20 people that I would never recruit in the first place. Bravo Supercell in finding another way to "improve" the game by making me want to quit this game altogether. This issue needs to be addressed and fixed. How do you plan on keeping a game alive with the sole premise of the game being clan oriented if nobody can recruit who they like?

I created a new level 1 clan in my TH8, and I literally thought that the game hated me for some reason, then I figured something out: I went to my high level troop account which was a super rushed TH10 that was inside an old level 5 clan I made back in the olden days I was a TH8. All I could find were TH3-7; not a single TH8. Then checking more in detail with the level 15 clan my main is, I could only find TH9-12 in it, so if I wanted to find newer players, I couldn't, which is very strange. The attempt was good, I appreciate it, but it's a big turn off for players who dreamed to finally make their own stable clan, and if not fixed soon, it will likely decimate the game because there's going to be players who can't find a single clan because of clans dying and being disbanded causing many cases of clans having 50/50 players. This is a worst case scenario so, it might not happen, but it's something that needs to be urgently addressed.
Trophies: This is something that trophy pushing clans would want, so in that case, it would be nice to put some use to the minimum trophies required to request join to affect the searches. Just let the player know, though, nobody's a god and everyone has a right to understand the new system. In any other case, just like you can filter out a clan by how many trophies they have, it would be a good idea to have that filter as well.
Wins per Season: I think I see were you're going with that, and I suppose it's a good idea to see how active people are attacking, but wins per season/attacks per season does not exactly say much about how active they are on the chat, or in the game in general. They might as well just attack 30-40 times in 5 hours and disconnect for the rest of the season.
Hero Levels: if this is going to be a thing, might as well add a wall/base progress filter as well. Or even a defensive progress and offensive (aka, troops, sieges, spells and heroes) progress filter along with the Town Hall filter.
War Stars: While this may reflect either skill, or activity in wars, it's better to see for yourself how well someone attacks in war rather than to "judge a book by its cover". I literally took down a TH11.5 with level 1 electro dragons and I still have no idea how. Like a literal three star. So, it's down to experience.
And I'm gonna add another suggestion as well. the amount of tags that people have so far is basically as insufficient as saved army compositions before the update, which is 3, which also seems like the magic number now because apparently they always do things with 3. 3 heroes, 3 free bases for each mode, 3 saved armies, I think you know the point. I literally have had to decide on a few tags for myself because there weren't enough. At least 5 would have been nice.
My two cents for this update is that it's not disappointing, but the fact that I started my own clan on a minor account and literally lost any way to make the clan progress proves what I've been thinking what SuperCell should have done for the update: launch the new recruitment system, and then take down global chat so you don't deep dive clans into an experimental feature that might work badly for some people.
Edit: Also, I'm glad other people are noticing that the new recruitment system is faulty. Hopefully we won't be left out blank like in the TH11 update :smirk:
Well, as suspected. This new “recruitment tool” is absolute trash. Astoundingly useless.
What I didn’t suspect, is how god-awful the new profile page is. Horrible layout. Far too busy. Just terrible.

With the update at hand, I agree that it needs few improvement and tweaks.
Theres a valid reason to eradicate global, lets get used to it and come up with better recruitment filters.
Suggestion: Have a additional patch that will automatically turns off player option to recieve clan invite. So that the search engine will have less suggestion of players in a clan. And those who really well informed about the system will turn in ON.

Hi!! I would like to give some feedback about this new update!!
The first feedback is that, for those who are recruiting, would be so much better the possibility to see the village of the player (checking walls levels) and not the hero skin on that size, because without having a preview of the village, it forces us to visit it to check the walls. Then I go to the second feedback.
The second feedback is: When we are searching for new players, we visit the players village to see the walls, and when we Return, we go back to our village, so we have to go to clan castle > find new players > select tags, all again.
Points of improving: have a preview of the village without having to click to visit, so we could stay in the window of the searching.
Or: when we click to return, this return be to window of searching.
Thats it! I liked very much this update, but this 2 points are very important, at least by my perception!

I find the new recruitment feature broken, I tried to use it and every single th11-12 person on it that i tried had full mailboxes so I could not send a single invite, and every single 1 were already in clans, and there is now no way to chat with random people before inviting them, I can not believe I am saying this but I miss global chat
I believe they could have done so much more with the new recruitment section:
Clan Searching:
1. Add an option to search clans using a minimum season donation amount. If I choose "40,000", it will only show me clans that donate have over 40,000 troop space donated a season.
2. Add an option to select clan attacks done. So if I'm looking for an active clan, I choose say 1,000 attacks and will only get shown clans where the members have collectively done over 1000 attacks last season.
Player Searching:
1. Search by player TH level (when I tried to search, all I got was low TH players)
2. Search by player country (when I tried to search, all I got was arabic and asian looking player names)
3. Search by donations / XP

Adding a change that slipped through the Release Notes:
- Players who get a Legend League defense against them that scores 0 stars don't lose trophies anymore. The player who attacks them will still gain some Trophies though per the old rules. We made this change based on player feedback, and it also felt better that players can celebrate a defense win.

After looking at this for a day, I still think the recruitment tool, in its current format, is not useful.
As someone who didn't use global, it's a trade of one feature I didn't use, for another I won't use. Net zero loss really.
However, I don't think the tool is absolute trash. I think it could be very useful, by simply adding some filters beyond the player/clan tags provided. There's been many good suggestions on this, I won't repeat them.
I know there's some filtering going on in the back end, which is supposed to improve with time, but I think most of the users lament the lack of control over the results they see. And it's going to be hard to trust the back end, especially when it's suggesting I invite leaders of other clans, and even a TH1, into my clan.

In order to recruit on the Forums/Reddit, you need to put together a detailed sales pitch, get some kind of graphics & bump your post constantly, because it gets scrolled down fast. There are 6 pages of posts in the Forum's clan recruitment thread from the last 24 hours. Great that it works for you, but it I've managed to keep my clan going for over 5 years, just by randomly talking to people on global.Quote:

In my opinion I do not believe that the manual recruitment system has been though through because as soon as you invite a player to join, you get a message saying 'inbox full', therefore they will not receive the invite. Its been 1 day and I have not gotten anyone from new recruitment search engine. Has anyone had any luck with it? We are a Lvl 20 clan with a 30 war win streak. Lots of veterans but we always run 40 vs 40. I cant find people to run 40 anymore. Im afraid we will eventually fade away.

This argument applies just as much, if not more to village accounts, yet they allow multiple name changes. I think a slightly more credible concern would be co-leaders capriciously & maliciously using clan name changes, if it's under the usual 'Edit Clan' section. I’d love a clan name change, I inherited my clan from previous leader who named the clan with a. Country specific title. Can we get some more clarification about this change? I have the Dell Venue 8 7840 android tablet - it's an intel Atom Z3580 x86-based tablet that's only capable of running x86 android binaries. It has never been compatible with mobile apps that chose not to include x86 processor support (such as Pokemon Go) but it always has and still does run Clash of Clans perfectly. I'm running the latest Clash update right now (straight from the Google Play Store) and it's working just fine. I think, that only the strong clans will find members with that tool and low level clans get risk to lose their best members because of this new system. My Clan is Level 8 and there is no chance. I opened the clan....nothing.
Something else concerning the new research tool for clan. It would be great not to show players who's mail are already full, or at least have an option to hide. It already takes enough time to browse the players, looks at their profile, check if they are in a clan and if yes one with the good language for then finally having that "player's mail is full" message...

It does not seems that the menu to change the language of the game and the one to chose the country of a clan are "very impractical solutions". If Supercell was able to implement these, it is probably not that an impossible task. I also doubt that the in-game support provides service in the 6500 active languages you are refering to. Right now this tool is close to useless for one-language only clans (that is not English). At first I have to browse a lot to skip the low TH (we are TH12 only) and when finally I see some nice profil, have to check what clans they are in, which lower the chances. That's without considering the fact I also have to open the player's bases to verify the state of the walls (which also means I then have to open the search menu and select the labels again after). But that's another issue.
Maybe another option could be to let the people write a message when they invite a player?

I’m having all the listed issues. I’ve spent lots of time changing filters, looking through players , and attempting invites just to find inbox full. Seems even inactive players that are clanless are even in the mix. Also being an English clan why do I even get results of all other languages ? This system is broken. I hope they fix it. Been days now and can’t even make a decent attempt to recruit through it since global was pulled. I’m personally thinking my best option now is just thank clans we beat for their competition and if I’m lucky I may pull a random player from said clan. Frustrating me so much, I now let off steam on Call of Duty Mobile. Best of luck to the rest of you with smaller clans or even the new clans that formed just before global ended.
This update is a nightmare
recruitment is dead.
Warden AI is worst as possible (targets building instead of following troops to protect them as before)
stars are incorrect in the profile.
one TH9 in my clan was so proud to move from Titan 3 to Titan 2. He reaches the trophies needed and ...
became un-ranked, as if he had made no battle for the season ...
another one.
I had 4 stars in the daily bonus, 1 left to get it.
Before attacking, I decided to keep the bonus in Treasury to save it for future usage (and stop playing)
I made the attack, get the popup telling me I did the 5 stars-bonus, and ...
guess what
my treasury was empty & all had been put in the storages.
either I'm mad and by clicking OK once (star-bonus message-box) I performed one-click for OK then select treasury, then click get treasures, then click OK
either this is another issue with this update.

I have tried several things over the past days, the 'tool' is just totally useless because of just about everything that's in this thread already.... Clan games are coming and we can't offer people a spot, CWL is coming and we would love to have some more active warriors .... but alas, just like many other clans, we're left to our own devices... literally as well
