Ummm $50 compared to $11,000 how is that expensive?

Actually, Lvl10 and Lvl11 walls are very strong defenses. It takes at least 3 x lvl 6 wallbreakers to destroy a level 11 wall(4 for lvl 5 wbs), and nearly impossible for a barb or archer to destroy. It's not just animations. It's still very effective against High level trophy pushing troops.



They have. Look at all the updates bringing in new defenses and units. I'm sure they are working away on new ideas at this moment.


While it's true that most of the players that have Lvl 11 walls are gemmers, it's not impossible to farm (as mentioned above). Silly mobile phone app you say? Well, then why are you here? I found this game fun, entertaining and challenging enough to rival some mainstream games out there, there's no reason that's even a relevant point. People can choose to spend money if they want to.

Sooo, play 12-14 hours a day and spend 1600 to boost! Or drop 11,000 on the walls? Neither number sounds a LITTLE excessive to you?

I like to play a lot as well, I have a 430 gold grab. But that just seems unhealthy! No-lifer or big gemmer. Though I guess for some people 11k is not much. But I don't think I would come home to my wife after blowing 11k on an iPhone game! And I would not be married if I gamed 12 hours a day! Guess it is just crappy lvl9 walls for me!

I just read the 1st page in this thread, and i am extremly New to CoC, but every game has this, one thing/Upgrade that is insane. And every game needs a thing like that. Its a "ultimate goal", and will keep the most dedicated farmers/players occupied for years, unless they chose to buy gems. The question is, how badly do one need a lvl 11 wall?

We're obviously talking about the #1 Farmer in the world (as we know it), and of course it is extreme! Just like how the #1 Top Ranking Player in the world is extreme. That's the difference between an average player and a #1 player.

Who are you to judge? If he has all the time or money in the world to play. Let the guy play. But that doesn't mean you can't achieve it through a longer period of time.

I have been at TH9 for months... I kept a builder free to do walls (oh the horror!!) and my defences still maxed WAY WAY quicker than my level 10 walls... In the next month or so i will be going to TH10 because my lavas will be done... Of course i will concentrate on defences at first when I level up... But i will still keep a builder free to do walls whilst the upgrades are taking place... And sooner or later there will be no more defences to upgrade.. I like the challenge of walls and i like to have a reason to play... After all, what is the point of raiding (which i enjoy) if you have nothing left to spend that gold on?

Edit : Ooh and by the way, I do have a life.. I have a very busy and stressful job... CoC is a way for me to relax and unwind in the company of friends and clan mates... I see nothing wrong with that at all...

This is the way I see it too. Although your a fair bit farther along than I am, I am dreading the day when I run out of things to spend my gold on.

As it is now it drives me crazy knowing that every time I raid I wipe between 100k and 500k elixir from existence just because my storage's are constantly full and I have nothing to spend it on. I hope that this will never be the case with gold, and thanks to the high costs of high level walls I don't really see much chance of that happening any time soon, and to me that is a good thing!

My theory is that SC watches a few notable farmers and tracks their progress. When SC thinks they are close to maxing, they will add new stuff. So you will probably never have this problem :p
