How can casual TH9 save up money?

I'm a maxed TH9 and i suffer the same, mostly hogs. My solution was to play longer hours. Once i hit 6 or 7 mil, i don't mind losing 350k.

I think this is due to the boost, where u can churn out a full hog army+spells within 30 minutes. So hoggers play more frequently, and find your base first before TH snipers.

Hopefully things will be slightly easier after this boost.

here are steps that worked/are working for me (full disclosure: i started upgrading to TH10 a week ago to get inferno towers to stop those piggies):

1. move TH outside and leave it relatively undefended
2. go to around 2400 trophies
3. pray that a trophy hungry TH9 (or lower) finds your base before a bunch of hungry piggies do
3a. i just saw that your base is vulnerable to giants/wiz/healers. ignore steps 1-3 and please schedule 8 hour farming blocks until your defenses are sufficiently leveled so that the only thing that can reliable level your base are mass hogs.

What trophy range are you in? If you are a maxed th 9 how do you have so much in your storages? Shouldn't you be dumping it into walls?

Saving up for the final 8 million, my walls got done before TH10 is ready.

As a TH9 transitioning into TH10, there will always be a point when you are sitting on or saving up to full storages, preparing for the first wave of TH10 upgrades. I'm at that point.

Ah, makes sense, I should've considered that.

Don't try to hold a lot of gold, elixer, and dark at the same time. Pick something you want to upgrade and raid for that and try to keep the other 2 as low as possible. It's easier Said than done, but will make you less of a juicy target.
