Would CoC be better if you had to pay for it?

It's a top grossing app with 1 million players, any experienced MMORPG player would tell you that you will never be at the top.

But I'm not too sure, it would effect the games general play-style greatly :-/
IMO What would cause an up-rage would be if you had to pay for it, even if you already downloaded the game for free....

I would not be playing this game if I had to pay to install. I liked to try it then bought some gems once I liked it. Only spent $10, but I have bought in. The friends I know who didn't spend any money have either stopped playing or are close to stopping.

I think this game would be better if it was a paid game with no gems. It sounds bad but it would give people who don't spend big money on gems a chance to reach the top.
