Sunsetting Global Chat Channel in the October Update

I was holding my judgement till I seen the new tool . IMO it’s almost completely worthless,unless I’m using it wrong ? Literally everyone in my find clan members tab is ALREADY in a clan . Without a filter to search for clanless players it’s garbage. Logged onto my clanless mini to check things out and found pretty much the old find a clan system. I’ll give the update a 1/10 . Not a fan

EVERYTHING is removed in game in a reasonable time scale, once it scrolls off chat or once all players exit chat. Whats the issue again?

So strange not seeing global. The first thought that came to my mind was "Maybe it is the time I quit the game". Without global I find it really boring to play. I feel lost. Clash of clans used to socialize players. The feature that standed out this game from others. Now it does not. And this is really sad.

This is the only update I don't like. I don't like how troops look on a players bio. I don't like the party warden voice. I don't like the new layout. Don't want to be negative just finding it hard to speak good about any if this

This new tool is the worst system i have ever seen.

I understand with 2 post of Darian, the global chat wasn't good but this makes me feel want to quit, my hands are tied, i can't recruit directly.

Maybe SC should work with a social network like fb or twitter and take some ideas there.

I spent my lunch exploring the new set up. I enjoyed the ability to raid, donate a time or two, raid again in 20 minutes... and in the time between jabber in global.

Most nights I would at least log in and to make sure I got a few donates in... would have global pulled up while I took breaks from work or pretending I watched something online that made me smarter.

So today I sat there at lunch. No one on in my clan - most work during day. I have no desire to leave as I enjoy the people and they put up with the mess that is me.

So I explored, and got bored just sitting there. Raid? Meh, then what? Log out to wait twenty minutes? Or sit staring at a screen watching a witch cook? Yawn.

Besides logging in to do war... not much point in logging in anymore for me. Why bother just sitting there and staring at a screen just in case someone needs bowlers at some point. Dull.

As I said before, no threatening or posturing... Just... kinda boring.

I think one of the reasons Supercell is hosting these forums is so the game teams may read both positive and negative feedback, analyze them, and take action if necessary. It's fine to post negative comments about the game as long as we comply with the forum rules, IMO.

My posting history will show that I posted positive and negative comments about Supercell games.

It doesn’t have anything to do with it being toxic. It has to do with your statement that you went there anyway and your statement that you are glad it is gone. If you didn’t like it, why go there. If you liked it enough to go there, why be glad it is gone.


Given what SC had to deal with I fully understand why SC decided to end global. I also understand why some players didn’t like it (I liked it). What I don’t understand is players acting as though they have somehow benefitted from global being removed. I just don’t get how you benefit from SC removing something that other players liked and you had no requirement to use or even see.

Today was a little sad. With the new recruitment tool not working properly the clan feels very isolated. Alot of players who would use global while building their army, are talking about the boredom now. I am worried we will lose players with no way to replace them now.

I feel really sad, talking to people on global was a big part of my day being cronically ill. My clan is quiet. No need to be online anymore
