Sunsetting Global Chat Channel in the October Update

That bit is simply not possible.

The only way SC could not be liable is if the chat were completely unmoderated. As soon as you start taking any level of editorial control, you become liabvle for anything that should be removed and isn't within a reasonable timescale.

I think ajax is a bit off on this one. As long as it is part of clash, in official way, supercel is liable. Global is dead. End of story.

There is absolutely no possibility they might even consider doing that. None.

Nor would any responsible company.


They might not be legalky liable, but they would certainly still be moralky responsible.

I said i’d wait for the update before any final judgement. Now it’s out, and my early impressions are that the new system does not compare at all to what global provided. Its highly disappointing, so far.
Lets see if it gets better in the coming days or if its the last straw.

I'm glad global chat is finally gone, Every day i would login and just see negativity. People by passing the filter system, Others abusing others, Female gamers getting harassed. People posting links, It was just a very toxic place to be. Only it was this way is because there were no live moderators as stated in the post. Thank you for making the game a much more enjoyable place to be.

Why on earth would you log into global chat every single day to see such a terrible cesspool as you describe? You weren’t forced to go into global, it just seems so strange to describe something so terrible that you had a choice to avoid, yet every single day you were there to observe the chaos.

Because i had the right to do so. What does that have to do with the fact that it was a toxic place? Not saying it was toxic all the time. But it was ether filled with trolls, People making fun of peoples rushed bases. Or there war stars or there clans in general. I could go on and on but i won't, I am just glad that i don't have to watch people cyber bully others any more over a free to play video game.

This is the worst thing you could do, you will lose a lot of players now, this was the only thing that kept a lot of players online.
