Sunsetting Global Chat Channel in the October Update

Anyone else wondering how much global traffic will move to the forums.. seems like it’s been moving that direction for a while now anyways

"we will be improving the Clan recruitment functionality" is all it says in first post. None of the things listed in what i was responding to:

"New recruitment interface, better tools to find new clan members, or to find a new clan." This is not stated anywhere i see.

It would be nice if sc would actually tell us what we should expect recruiting to be like. Instead of everyone repeating each others guesses.

Does it matter? We’ll get what they give us, and our options will be adapt or bail.

Close to none. Ppl don't come chatting in the forum, most don't even realize there is a forum or only browse it for update-details, strategies, reporting bugs, etc.

May be something similar is in pipeline for clash of clans in the future for recruitment based on similar interest and other similarities.

I'm really pleased about this update and am looking forward to the update. I'm genuinely surprised by some of the responses to this announcement. I've always found global to be toxic, crude and probably the worst place to chat to anyone, nevermind recruit new players. To each their own. Hope the new system works well for everyone.

I use global for recruiting and for finding clans only.
So, you announced that global will be removed, but you didn't tell how I can recruit in future :( .
The reason for not providing this information is unclear, but it makes me uneasy. If you cannot talk about this new feature because development is not jet finished, why did you tell me that global will be removed? You could have waited until development of the new recruitment tool is finished ...
