Anyone using Dragon's?

I've had 2 horrific instance's with them over last 48hrs . . .

1) Had a lvl2 CC dragon. I'm a mid lvl TH8 going against a TH9. Used Giants/healer/barch and was at about 44%, opened up the centre of the base but died out from crossbow, spring traps, air bombs etc DE storage was open for the taking, about 1100 so I dropped my CC dragon. He heads in, takes out the tesla next to DE, then does a right turn (away from DE) and flies out of the base over about 3 empty space's and then targets clan camps, all the while get hammered by AT and 1 lvl 3 AD (i had taken out the others already). He died at 48% and pretty much no loot :(

2) playing with BArch, WBs and 3 lvl2 dragons. dropped them in, hit them with Rage and watched in horror as they took everything around the AD, flew out of rage spell and died. massive fail.

Sooo I'm done with them for a while. Cool to have as CC defence I guess, but I won't use them in offence for while. Is anyone still using them?

Now most people are setting infernos to multiple targets and my dragons are upgrading to level 4 I'll give them another go

I personally don't use em much after level like 60 but there's a master in my clan who climbed up to and now sits around 3000 cups and he's gotten there using a combo of like 2 golems with a bunch of level 4 dragons. recently he's added in lvl 4 pekkas with drags instead. I thought he was nuts but it works well for him. I think he uses rage to make em speed up since they are sorta hunky/slow.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

I'll hold off on them for a bit then I think. I just got golem's and level 2 PEKKAs so having fun with them at the moment. Still a good option for CC defence you think?

Im a early TH 8 and i usually pump out 6 dragons when i go to bed. Then when I wake up i just seek a very wealthy target with a lot of DE (a base that i cannot loot with my normal BAM tactic), 6 dragons some giants wb and archer + 3 rage thats what i use every morning. Just go for a 600k loot + 1000/2000 DE. Its a lot of fun and it helps.

Just had a big dragon fail this afternoon, 10 dragons + 3 rage. Got about 3000 DE (for me as a very new TH8 is great.... but i only got to 45%.. I got unlucky with the seeking airmines.

I prefer Wizzies in my cc. Pretty much anything with the exception of giants is okay

Mass dragons is still a very usable strategy,You just gotta pick your targets properly.I only go for bases with AD on the outside and always use atleast 2 rage spells..i have lvl3 drags and lvl5 rage and it works really well with exposed AD's

I still like drag in cc tbh...but don't cook 'em for attacks anymore. However ppl are still happy to receive them so they make for good donate numbers :-)

oh sweet, yeah I haven't used Minions in CC for defence before. Might give it a try. Usually I use archer/wiz, but recently I'm farming with BAM and my attack gets stuffed up by a CC dragon. Esp when I miss with a lightning spell haha

SlayerNick 3k DE is a pretty sweet raid! But yeah 45% after waiting all that train time is a killer.

Drags in CC are so easy to take out though! I always lure whatever is in the CC out, then pull it into a corner and take it out with a buncha archers and sometimes a wizard. I get extremely happy when I see Giants or a dragon pour out of someone's CC because they are so easy to kill.

Anything is easy to kill provided u lure them out properly,but a dragon in the clan castle that hasn't been lured can really mess up someone's attack on you,especially if they send in a load of giants first cause as the giants go in deeper the dragon just smashes them while the archers are stuck way behind still taking out barracks and collectors.A good attacker will always lure the CC however its not always a good attacker that raids you

I just got my level 3 dragons, Im TH8 in Gold 1 and I rarely come across inferno's so I'm not effected really and the 4th air defense hasn't either as that is for TH10 correct me if Im wrong and Im still getting high 3 stars with dragons. People have been upgrading their air defence as it as Dragon raids had become really popular and a great strategy:

Yeah I agree but I just use archers, might try wizards - but I always find them a pain especially when i'm not prepared and they're like level 3+4.
