Here is a picture of my base. I am very unsure if I should get th8. I want the barbarian king badly but not sure if its worth it to just get the drill. People's opinions.

Finish your walls first. Barb king isn't that important btw.
Farm the de. Just be patient and it will come.
Upgrade to TH8, and th8 is very important .
Once you update to th8, spend lot of time on th8, as major part of upgrade is in th8
May want to do a few more walls and be patient about the DE.

Level 7 walls won't do you enough good for you to wait. Keep your builders busy at TH7 for as long as you can. Time them perfectly so you'll finish your TH upgrade with max collectors and all your builders freed up.
Yes go to 8, then max your base, while the th ist upgrading make lvl7 walls.

I also believed that I need a drill for de to get the king and so I gemmed the king.
Then I went TH sniping for a while and with the three methods of obtaining de that I explain in this posting I very quickly made 10000 de. I then realised I had been dumb for gemming the king, so I used the de to upgrade the minions instead.
I would advise you to not upgrade to TH8 yet. A lot people are suggesting you to finish your walls and I agree with that. But more importantly, at the very least max your splash defenses before upgrading. I highly recommend maxing all your mortars and wizard towers. Also like a PP said, do not neglect those teslas. They will be a very important part of defense as a TH8 and 9. Start on them now!
As for your BK, if you really want him that bad then farm the DE. Go up into the 1600-1800 range and focus only on getting DE. I was a TH7 when I farmed my BK but honestly, I didn't start upgrading him until TH8. He isn't (in my opinion) that important at TH7.

From the three methods I explained, while TH sniping, the zap is the least effective way to get DE in my experience. I got way more from sending gobbies to the several external de collecors of my opponents, while I was TH sniping in crystal. And 100 de as a win bonus in crystal II is great. Spend some hours TH sniping there and you see the effect it has on your de storage...However, I had not boosted my spell factory back then, so maybe now zapping is more effective with spells being avalable quickly.
Nowadays I am farming in Gold leagues for gold and get quite some de as a side effect. The OP is obviuously in silver league, I don't remember too many people having full de storages there, it only starts in Gold II that you get significant amounts of de while raiding. Yet he has only level 4 troops, so I believe going TH sniping in crystal is the easiest way to get a barbarian king. It only needs a few days of dedicating your coc efforts into this matter, even if you are a TH7, it's easily possible.
You're a few weeks away... Shift your farming focus immediately to DE. These are all reasonable DE farming options for a TH7. You should get from 2K to 10K in just a couple of days:
1) Barbs + Archers + Goblins; look for TH7 or weak TH8/9 who put their storages on the outer layer and have 300-500 to give.
2) Barbs + Archers + Goblins + Wall Breakers + Heal Spell; look for weak TH8/9 who put their storages more toward the middle. You'll need wall breakers to get in, and use barbs and archers and a few goblins to clear a direct path to the DE. Once dropping a goblin targets the DE storage, drop them all, followed by a heal spell right on top of the DE storage. It's all yours, even if there is significant defense left. Target at least 700-1200 with this method
3) Lightning zap; lame, but you might as well do it now while you can boost the spell factory. Once you're close to 10,000 saved up, if you EVER see somebody giving more than 1,500 DE, zap them. Don't start this too soon, you'll ♥♥♥♥ people off. Make sure that once you start doing this, you can reach 10,000 quickly so you can get back to 0; they'll have nothing to revenge
4) Dragons + Rage; when you log off for the night, train all dragons. In the morning, go through your revenge queue; you might get lucky and find somebody with a lot of DE. Or just go searching for a stronger TH8/TH9. You'll want to find somebody who gives at least 1,200 DE for this to be worth your while. Again, you're likely to get revenged, so ideally you find these people in your revenge list and not searching for new battles.
As you collect this DE, you should be getting plenty of gold to keep your builders busy on Air Defense and Teslas. Start the TH8 upgrade so that it finishes around your last defenses, and work on walls as much as you can. Don't worry about getting ALL of them to lv7, but do as much as you can. There is no point delaying TH8 with idle builders only to finish walls.. But use this as a lesson - start lv8 walls SOONER in TH8 or you'll run into the same problem a few months from now thinking about TH9

The barb king has helped me easily beat baces he is quite helpful now go get him :P
Do air defenses, tesla, walls, and get barb king, and upgrade him to lvl 5.

Wait. It's a good idea to at least max out your defenses before you upgrade town halls. And eventually you'll get enough DE to get the barb king.
