I agree Valks need a little love. My first vote would be to decrease time of attack then my second would be to improve the attack area.
It would be a neat idea for the Valk to use its weapon as a "boomerang". She tosses it as she spins and back it comes. But make it so it only goes as far as an archers arrow. One target at a time.
That would be sweet !

And loads of other units have splash damage but they hardly do damage to nearby things like balloons, the splash damage is not a gimmick at all, of they targeted three building at once or sumthing but lower the damage then hat would be ok
I've played around with valk a bit. I made the mistake of maxing them thinking they'd get better. The major problem with the troop is attack speed. They often target a building, then wiff when other troops destroy it first... Kind of funny to watch .
I think if attack speed were increased and damage per attack were decreased, they would actually be usable. What if valks were updated to have the fastest attack speed of any troop in game? That would probably be enough of a differentiator to make them worth using.
Anyway I've created this topics several times and there are some fundamental things wrong with the valkyrie
1) For the cost and training time, she isn't effective
2) Her gimmick is almost useless on offense
3) Her attack speed is an issue, particullary the pause before she attacks in the first place.
Solutions
1) First off reduce the training time and possibly the cost. 15 minutes is insane for what little the Valkyrie has to offer
2)Address her usefulness
On point two here are some things that have been thrown around
1) Increase her attack speed - if you think about it, on paper the x-bow is pathetic. However its long range combined with its high DPS means that very little damage gets wasted. The archer tower on the other hand, becomes increasingly less important as even with its higher DPS, if wastes far more DPS
2) Increase her splash radius or make an AI change. Honestly making it so the Valkyrie purposeful attacked buildings that were close together would almost be like a X2 to her attack on offense and would be great, but its also unlikely SC would do that. Increasing her radius to that of a WB seems like a workable solution.
Honestly, the Valkyrie isn't a weak unit. On defense she is a powerhouse and on offense she is nothing to sneeze at. But in her current form you pay way to much in both time and DE to make her worthwhile.
