I think that making a fee of gold and elixir to join a clan would end clan hopping. It could be set by clan elders or the game according to TH level. I pretty sure this hasn't been ruled out yet.

Why? A ten thousand resource fee isn't going to stop a hopper, and a 100,000 resource fee is outrageous. On top of that, man people have other clans to manage, and this would overall be an annoyance to those who genuinely are just switching back and forth to manage clans.
No, doubt supercell will implement this hoppers cant realy be stopped either even if they paid 10k gold to get in its worth a lvl 4 dragon and just leave...Also it's up to the clan to first donate archers, if he stays give the person better troops, then if he shows loyalty he can stay. Quite simple right?
I like the idea i hate when im recruting and people join for a minut then leave i hope they implement this to the game
This is what I meant: I want to join clan A. So, I pay the fee, and get in. However, my friend is in clan B, so I pay the fee to go there, visit with him, and I head back to Clan A. However, I don't have to pay the fee this time, nor if I want to visit clan B again. However, hoppers would have to pay for every new clan they join, deterring them.
what happens to the money? Does it just disappear or does it go to the leader of the clan, the leader and elders, or equally divided up to the whole clan? If it went back to the clan somehow, even if it was just to leaders and elders it would def. stop people from hopping. They would want to stay in a clan to get elder and get small bonuses...however I can't see supercell doing something like that. Higher clans like mine would make a fortune with all the random requests we get every day.
