i just got 95% my walls to level 7 and to get it to level 8 its 500k per upgrade.
this is quite disheartening to me but i shall not complain since i am not a non gemmer.
so my question is what walls do non gemmers usually 'stop' at?

A lot of non-gemmers max level 9s or 10s.
However I think most people stop at 7 or 8.

Just finished my lvl 8 walls. It took me around 2 months, but i also spend gold on other things so i could have done in like one and a half month. So lvl 9 walls may take me 3 months or so. Not that bad i think. Guess its a question of patience.
I don't have an end in mind, as long as I keep playing this game, I plan to dump extra gold into walls.
It's not even about the walls so much, it's about keeping the excess gold in my my base, as opposed to in the storages of my attackers.
Whenever I finish an upgrade and I have gold left over, I'll dump it into walls so that my attackers can't take it, simple as that.
As a side benefit of this, my walls will get upgraded :)
I'm currently done lvl 8, and have maybe a dozen lvl 9 walls. I'm about 1/3rd of the way through maxxing TH9.
Oh yea, I haven't spent a dime on gems.
I maxed 8s before town hall 9.
i can't see me going any further on walls, I'd rather spend my time upgrading other stuff and getting to town hall 10 before 2015. I think also TH 9 has 2 levels so I'm stopping.

Level 8 is the limit for players who do not have serious time..
I'll probably stop once my leggos are done but idk, what will I do with excess gold once they are maxed? Realistically i'll probably do some level 10's.
I'm not far from maxing TH9 defenses and once I'm done with defenses it'll probably just be about maxing walls and heroes... Although if I manage to get all walls to level 9 I'd be pretty pleased (currently I have about a third of my walls up to level 8)
I predict maxing legos for sure, maybe lavas. I'm only doing level 8's right now but I've always had pretty good walls for my level and I like to farm them so :)
(Currently level 68 Town Hall 8 with 64 Skulls, started farming shortly before winter break)
Well, I see myself stopping in the far future at level 9 walls, but if somehow there is a wall sale which I highly highly highly highly doubt, I may do level 10 walls:)

l.8 Walls are fairly easy to farm. 75 Done since Xmas. Legos tho are one mil so i think ill stop there. I stkll have studies to worry about.
With the boost promotion it's easier to get it done. It's a pity i have maxed out my walls at th 7. If not I would be grinding level 8 walls.
Level 8 walls are okay. got 120 of them within 4 -5 days. Guess I need around another week to max out those skulls. It's all about patience when ya farm.
I have 4. I could do a trophy push to 2600 in order to get that achievement and enough gems for 5th builder (I have 1110 gems now, the achievement gives 1000 gems), but trophy pushing that high will require a lot of time and wasted resources when I could be farming instead, tough decision :pQuote:

Walls is the most boring thing to upgrade, it might be good but not fun. I guess people stops at 8, and some on 9. People who do 10 have alot of free time i think, more wall lvl will come and the price will be higher. Good luck reaching champion, it will end up with gemmers who have lvl 15-16 walls in master already, which lead the none gemmers stayin at crystal?
Anyway, im doin lvl9 and its very boring.
I stopped my walls at 8 when I moved to town hall 10, I've now started them to nine and its not to bad

I have a few lvl 8 walls on the alt, but primarily have lvl 7 walls.. (some of the new ones are still pink while I transition to new TH, I started both X-Bows instead of dumping into walls at the onset) I will eventually get them to skulls but think lvl 7 will suit me fine until I get other defenses caught up to at least TH8 max levels.
Im content to stay at lvl 8 walls until all other defenses are maxed out for TH9.. then I may start legos on the main..
but my alt will have lvl 7 for a long while as many things need to be cared for as result of rush job.
in the end, lvl 7 is sufficient for low level hunting in Gold 3 and 2, (or below) but IME once you get into Gold 1 and Crystal 3 or higher, lvl 8 or higher walls are almost a necessity if you plan on keeping your loots from Tier1 farming troop raids. and even then may not help against rage/heal/jump spells and max WBs..

yeah walls are pretty boring to farm I agree. My main acct mid lvl TH8 I'm mainly lvl6 walls starting on lvl7 a week ago (yes I was a preemie TH8) mainly as my defences are still upgrading. i think I have one more upgrade of each defensive item until maxed. My 2nd acct I'm a fully maxed TH7. Only have about 5 lvl7 walls to go. Actually starting my feeder acct has almost turned into my better clan haha Got about 4mill in Elixir sitting there with nothing to sound on except expensive troops and spells. oops actually need to keep upgrading BK.
I will def do lvl8 walls on both. Are lvl9 the lego's? Those are the one's I rally want. Look pretty damn sweet.
With such lousy loot how to farm level 8 walls.....
It's not that bad. I'm managing 12-14 a day. I've done almost 100 in the last week. And that's only playing periodically throughout the day.Quote:
