Is there a place where I can read all the help messages that appear too briefly when I login?
My forum name and game center name are different. Is there a way to change my name in the game to my forum name?

What does save your setup do if there isn't a restore?

So many question but no documentation.

There is no way to change your game name. You can save your game through GC or google+ if you're android. Unless you're referring to the the village edit mode saving just means making what you built your village, if you don't save it then you go back to what you had before.
