Ok this might be a stupid question....what is with all the frogs??? I only have one bog left and I always have a herd of frogs just hanging out together near the house. If I tap a frog it jumps but am I missing something here? I have a pile of maybe 20 frogs as I type.
LOL I had 1 frog visiting yesterday!
I think the frogs are just to add some nature to the area. Same as the foxes. I like them. I saved a bog so they have a place to hang out. :o
I love the foxes too, I'm really happy they don't bother my chickens :p
Oh I think they are cute too! There are just so many of them, usually between the house and the order board. When I open the game there is always a pile of them. Pretty funny. I too saved one bog but it is on the right side of the farm and not many frogs venture over there. They scatter a bit as I play, and hop if I tap them.
The fox are a nice addition as well. I also like the fish in the river when they jump.

I hate to say this but...we could catch frogs and fish and cook them on the bar b q. I personally have never had a pancake that was cooked on the bar b q! Frog legs anyone? Lol;)
Oh poor frogs:(. I'd hate to make frog legs out of them. I like how humane this game is. To get bacon from the pigs you put them in a sauna box. Too cute. I don't think they would have us cut the poor frogs legs off. Not sure I could do it even if they did. Unless they came up with something like they did for the pigs. Ok ok, I must have some pretty weird frogs at my farm. The mass grew to larger than a half dollar, all on top of each other. There were two cow pens between the frogs and my one and only bog. I moved the pens and the frogs migrated to the pond. I counted over 40 frogs as they jumped into the pond one at a time! That must be a deep bog!
Just curious as to what thier purpose is and why they bunch up the way they do?
They are decorative like the foxes. They usually bunch up when the AI get stuck since they can't walk/hop through buildings and other items placed. That why you may see some people have trapped them in fences on their farms.
I hardly see frogs on my farm. At most only foxes. Oh well, they must be in the river.

You need a pond to get frogs. Like the decorative flowers to get butterflies. I liked a comment I saw that said there should be something to attract bees :)Quote:

If your frogs are just hopping in a cluster, you must provide a pond for them. They must have a clear path to the pond. Viola! They will all jump in! As for fencing them in, the fence can't be too small or it won't contain them.
LOL - OK will have to buy a pond for my little green friends. ;)

Hi,
Get some ponds and make sure to place them so the frogs will have a clear path to access them and you can see them jump in. If you have a couple of them around your farm but they don't have a clear path they can't jump in but you will have a lot of frogs around the farm.

Seriously, just get a large/small pond and it will attract frogs to it. The frogs will jump into the pond, and most of the time they will stay inside the pond. If you want to release them from the pond, just tap the middle of the pond.

In some parts of Australia, there are huge problems with over-population of cane toads. Perhaps there are some Queenslanders who can offer some novel ideas for keeping the population down? Instead of waiting until you get really annoyed with the frogs and move the pond all the time you could place a pond somewhere where the frogs have a clear path to find them. If they have a clear path you hardly ever see frogs on your farm. If you do want to see them tap on the pond a few times and watch them jump out of the pond.Quote:

The best solution that I've found is to fence off your property. At first, I had trees lining the leftmost perimeter (where the river is) but they still hopped right through the trees and had a blasted green mess of a frog party on a particular section of my land.
So I stuck a pond in that area as a temporary measure, until I could get that area decorated and blocked off. It was better, but I'd still log in to see some of them sitting around the pond. Plus, I didn't want a pond in that area of the farm over the long-term. Reluctantly, I moved the trees forward and placed a fence line behind them. No more frogs, not even one!

Its good because frogs are cute! Foxes, butterflies & birds also show up, tap your river to see fishies.
You'll be able to buy ponds for frogs too.

Well, if you have a lot of frogs in your farm, that mean you are a high level player! I mean frogs are really important. For example you spend 3 hours for the game and you receive 3 frogs for 3 minutes. Cool right? When you tap like crazy on them they jump but try to let them jump in an area with no exit to the lake, so they give you more chance to activate the ability to have better items in your newspaper for the next row. When that happens you can let the frog/s free so you don't feel sad after they disappear(die). Don't forget before you close the game to let all of your frogs free because they are also souls that needs normal life. It's the same with the foxes, but they are bad animals so you can close them(if you catch them of course) in a please where they can't exit. You don't have to feed them because of their karma. Better they stay starving and your experience get 5% more of every delivered order which is from the school. Don't tap birds if you see them flying, it's a bad luck. Hope I helped you.Quote:

Your frogs need a pond. Buy one in your shop and make sure the frogs have a clear path to get there (or place the pond on top of the frogs if that is possible ;-)). They will all hop in.

Newbie here! I guess I shouldn't have cleaned up my ponds/fallen logs on my land because all the frogs have congragated on my driveway by my delivery truck....:rolleyes: There are about 12 of them hopping around the trucks rear tire...lol

I notice some of the flowers say attracts butterflies, etc.. So I didn't know if that ment adding a pond would bring a frog mountain with it! There is a trick to this too! LOL since they jump out of the water.. If you block the river edge with trees, pens, etc they can't get through and on to your farm ;) Make a little clearing and they will come out of the water and on to the farm..
