Is it worth upgrading traps?

I'm currently trying to max out my th8, farming like crazy, but I have two spare builders, and nothing left to upgrade but traps and my teslas which I'm currently working on. (I might not complete all level 8 walls before I pull the trigger on getting TH9)
But is it actually worth the money that traps cost to upgrade?
Is there any point upgrading them, especially when I need all the gold I can get at the moment.
Any tips or ideas? Personally I don't think it's worth upgrading a seeking air mine to level 2 for two million - I need all the gold I can get. But is it worth upgrading any other traps?

Well, first of all you need to have a TH9 to upgrade your seeking air mine to level two. I'm in a similar situation at the moment- I have 4 builders free and I'm just working on walls right now. I've done all of my traps except for giant bombs, which at 750k a piece don't really seem worth the extra 20 damage. I think it also depends on which specific traps you are talking about- having a group of level 1 bombs vs a group of level 4 bombs would definitely make a difference.

Upgrade the small bombs atleast. Giant Bombs I wouldn't touch for now.

I maxed all my traps as soon as the update came out, but really its not needed. id say all u really have to max out are bombs and SAMs (which u cant upgrade till TH9 anyways) spring traps only have 1 lvl. giant bombs u can leave. air bombs u could do, ur choice.

having upgraded giant bombs matter once you get raided by hog armies.

two lvl 3 giant bombs right next to each other can take out a group of hogs that are lvl 4 or lower.

this is important because this will be your best defense against a heavy hog attack, prior to inferno towers at TH10.

At TH10, you can upgrade giant bombs to lvl 4, which two of those can take out any level of hogs, along with the inferno towers as back up just in case only one of the bombs goes off.

This giant Bomb is by far the most important trap to upgrade for TH9 and up. Little bombs are junk. Takes two to kill even archers....

Place two giant bombs side by side between two defense towers. Pure joy to watch a replay and see 10+ hogs with a heal going get instantly vaporised!

This all depends on what kind of base you have too. If you have a funneling type base, then yea since those traps are like the basis of your base (hehe). If you have a vault or segmented base, it might not be as important.

Personally i think traps are worth it. If you are orried about the re-armm cost, then dont ream them during farming. Lv3 Giant bombs are especially good at higher trophy counts. If you have a giant bomb next to a defennce and hogs come through. BAM half thier health down. Another? BAAM wiped out. Regular bombs? Arvher and barbs stand no chance in funnels. bomb beteween collecots? Gobs Die.
Upgrade them.

Well because I'm using Junliang's Pokeball base, the only funnelling I have is with spring traps where I've left gaps in my walls. I think I'll upgrade the air missiles - not the seeking air mines, 2 mil!!!) because I'm still upgrading one air def, and I've been destroyed by air armies. When I go up to th9, I'm sure I'll need the giant bombs so thanks for your help guys :)

I chose to be a bit sneaky. I have 4 obvious places in my base where it looks like I would have spring trap funnels, but I purposely didn't put spring traps there because every attack on my base, they avoid those areas, so I've started placing traps everywhere else EXCEPT at the obvious funnel. It's made for some funny and effective replays!
