Walls? Same old, same old.

Did anybody mention going to TH9 yet? :)

I was in a similar predicament, but I had finished upgrading all my walls to LVL 8 but my defenses weren't finished yet. My troops I use for farming were all maxed though so I went for it anyways. I'm spending so much time playing through the holidays that I'll likely grind out all my LVL9 walls in the next couple weeks before all my buildings are maxed at TH8 level. lol

I'm having no issues at all farming at TH9 because most of the bases I was hitting at TH8 were TH8-9 bases anyway so it's pretty much the same. (~1300-1500 trophy range). I'm spending all my gold on walls so I'm not at all worried about getting 3 starred.

I did the complete opposite to this.. Farmed all my skulls way too early & now I'm stuck with some unmaxed TH8 defences. I decided to get a few of them up 1st before headed to TH9, but I recently started my TH9 upgrade out of boredom / wasting far too much gold.

Anyhow, you only have 133 skulls to do.. around 65m gold. Start your th9, farm 5m + a day (try to take advantage of 1 gem boost) and get them finished in time for when your TH finishes up. Definitely possible.

I love doing walls, already spending most of my gold on em cause of the boost, but I think you should go up to TH 9

Upgrading "all" walls to lv 8 would've recommendation. I am soooo glad that I decided to do this myself prior to TH9.
You will regret it IMO. There are plenty of the new building that are available in TH9, you will find yourself wanting to get the new buildings as apposed to upgrading your walls as you would have liked in TH8.

u can easily max lvl 8 walls in th9, even faster with lvl6 troops.

Not exactly true, i maxed my walls before upgrading to th9, I didn't even upgrade the 25 walls to lvl8 until about a month after the th upgrade. The thing is that there are much better things to spend gold on, such as the xbows.

let me take a guess, that was before the 1gem boost as we have it now (for the next 1.5 weeks).

i upgraded to th9 3 weeks ago with 20unfinished lvl8 walls. now i have both xbows, 5 lvl 9 walls and all 5 builders busy

Walls. Level 8 walls can be done quite quick if you're very active.

Figure out how much loot you raid on averge per day than multiply that by 14 (TH build time)
then calculate how much walls (cost) you can fit (divide) into that number.

for example,

I can raid 5 mill a day on average
5*14=70 (mill)
Then divide by wall cost
.5 ( <--level 8 wall cost is half a mill) /70 (reduces so #s aren't gigantic)= 140 walls

replace with your gold per day and wall cost & boom!

This. And with boosted barracks you should be able to raid a lot.
