If people actually bothered to read sometimes then it wouldn’t be buried far away inside this thread.

It appears the price of hero books has been raised from 500 gems to 925 gems.
a week of gems would usually be 999, so it seems to be a pointless item at this price.
The other books are much more valuable as they cut down on up to 14 days of building.
Was this deliberate or an accident?

So ... At 500 it's where we get the boh at the right cycle before update...
When we got overpriced... It's because boh replace another book from cycle but with the wrong price ...

If I understand this correctly the trader cycle was adjusted with the last maintenance break. If an account had a different price book in the trader at the time of the change (during maintenance) the BOH took on the price of that other book. If no book was in that spot during the change the price was not impacted and when the BOH was next offered.

So some accounts are stuck at 925 gems for the book while others have the correct 500. The next maintenance will set the price back to 500 for everyone.

Does that sum it up? I want to be able to explain it to my clan.

Stupidly bought it but the lovely people from supercell have refunded me 425 Gems😃

It’s not something that is different for different accounts. Every account can currently get the 500 gem book offer and the 925 gem book offer. Which one they see on a particular day just depends on where exactly the account is in the cycle. Not every account is on the same day of the cycle.

This is an extremely simplified example. Let’s say the cycle goes like this
Day 1 research potion
Day 2 BoH for 500
Day 3 training potion
Day 4 rune of something
Day 5 bob
Day 6 BoH for 925 gems
Day 1 again
etc.

Now some accounts are currently on Day 1, others are on Day 2... and some are on Day 6 etc.
Therefore they see different offers on different days.
Except in reality in the game there are 3 different items for each day and the cycle is much longer before it starts over again.

Like I said yesterday the 925 gem BoH needs fixing and that needs maintenance. Depending on when they will be able to do maintenance some people may never even see the 925 BoH being offered. I don’t know when maintenance will take place but it’s not likely to happen before the weekend.

I can confirm this. I just bought a book of heros today for 500 gems.

I checked this morning, ready to buy on one a base that has an opening and it was still 925, after a daily refresh, so the theory that the spell book was replaced by the hero book and would refresh doesn't hold. I did an optional update, and it didn't fix it either. Now i'm up-to-date and on refreshed offers and still have a 925 book on one of my bases for the BoH.

You've now missed out on 2 - 500 gem dumps.
