how good is balloon?

I just got lvl4 balloon. Soon I will upgrade it. But how good it is. I got minion too. But I Don't want to spend DE. So can I go for a attack only with balloons and some archers. Any strategy for it? How many balloons and other troops. Please not dark barracks troop. I got 200 army camp and all lvl4 troops.

Balloons are awesome, but I'd say the awesomeness does not kick in until you get them to level 6. Also, balloons often need Rage spell(s) to be effective, so you might want to take that into consideration too.. Not really sure what you would accomplish with balloons and archers, but I'd think balloons will get chomped down fast by ADs and ATs, since their HP is kind of low and they're oh so slow. Balloons + minions is a good combo, but again, balloons really do need a rage to speed them up.

level 1-5 balloons are terrible. wait till you get to use the level 6 one's.

don't waste your time now with level 4!

I had some success during my last trophy push with lvl 5 loons, lvl 4 minions and rage with my town hall 8 account. They really get good at lvl 6.

i'd say upgrade them but keep to BAM and Barch to farm and only use loons later. I don't see using loons with archers as being effective... Just use giants and archers instead with a few wall breakers.

Going from lvl5-6 is a massive difference. I have a few clanmates that are raiding in gold 2 or lower with lvl5 balloons, but to get anywhere above that you need lvl6 for sure. I never used mine until they were lvl6.

I farmed with level 5 balloons and level 4 minions, to 2496 cups, but it was hard work finding good victims to attack. That was about 2-3 months ago. I wouldn't reccommend doing it now, for a couple of reasons (disco infernos, and barracks boosts have made crystal dry up somewhat I think).

Level 1-4 Loons are bad. Level 5 ones are good, Level 6 ones are awesome ;)

hi Rayner,

I'm BAMing in the 1400 to 1500 range right now with th8. Its awesome with the 1 gem barracks boost because I have a full army ready to go by the time I get back from an attack. This has actually caused me to click next fewer times and I will attack easy town hall 7's with 120k gold available because 2x 120k raids are better than 1x 200k raid. And I still see plenty of 200k plus gold raids out there.

no at lvl 4 they start to get good, lvl 3 and below are bad. lvl 4 is so-so. lvl 5 is great lvl 6 is boss.

@OP: honestly, u should go none, most, or all balloons. anything else will fail and waste ur time, elixir and army camp space.
