I don't know how you play, but when I get well into the millions for an upgrade, I'm boosting and raiding back to back in order to get enough to get an upgrade started.
The only thing this will do is make it easier and faster for me to reach my objective - the price amount I need for an upgrade - then spend it.
No one that would intentionally keep 6 million in their gold storage when they have an upgrade to spend it on. Unless it doubles their gold production, but all that will eventually do is make my play a little longer (note: staying ONLINE and unraidable) to bring me up so I have enough for 2 upgrades. All while remaining online and unraidable.
I don't see how this will actually benefit other than to allow those that are making a lot of loot make more loot.
I just don't see anyone purposely holding off on an upgrade before logging off if they have the resources to get it started. Whether it's fear of being raided or desire to get a long upgrade started asap....
This posted this around 8 months ago and no one responded know all of a sudden hes getting a ton of responses saying how good of an idea it is, also it may not encourage people to keep loot but it would definatly help out the loot
How about generation interest? Maybe some sort of building you can put your money into and it will generate interest for you until this building is full. Maybe it couldn't be used to increase your max resource count, similarly to how collectors work, and it could also be raided for 90 or even 100 percent.
I am sorry I missed your original thread. That was about the time I signed up. I didn't say it was a great idea, just that it was original and well presented.
Unfortunately after giving it some consideration I have to agree with AxionXD. This would simply make it faster for me to build to the amount I needed, just so I could spend it all on a big upgrade. The average amount I had in my storages would actually go down because I was building it in a shorter period of time, then spending it all.
If you look at it on a graph it has much longer flat areas of low loot with a much more sudden spike and instant drop off vs. the current system where the loot climbs more gradually in a curve before a smaller spike and the same drop. Again, good thinking and well presented but I don't think it would help the current loot situation other than to promote more people dropping into the 1100-1500 trophy range to find inactive accounts.
Good idea. It does get frustrating running through the next button 50+ times because each available isn't higher than 30k. I just recently had the worst week of my CoC career as I decided to save my builders for my impending TH upgrade and started to stockpile loot. I had nearly 3 mil of each (3 mil being my cap) and I just got rocked about once every ten minutes for a solid two or three days. I got tired of farming as I couldn't even keep up with the people who (for some reason that is beyond me) wander around with ridiculously expensive armies, and would burn my village to the ground, taking 220k of each almost every time. Your idea having been implemented during this time would have helped me a ton because, as the game is currently, I would get smoked for 220k of each and then the best I could find from an attack with a cheap farmy on hand was around 100 to 150k of each. Obviously I just was slowly depleted until it got too annoying to bear and I just spent as much gold as I could on walls and started a spell upgrade to get rid of as much elixer as I could. I still have a day and half left before my TH upgrade so I won't start farming again until I can build up without having to let it sit. I really like your idea because I could have been able to keep up with all that was getting taken from me, and done so more easily with a cheap farmy (rather than all the econ geniuses out there that run around with armies that cost 150 to 200k). Thanks for putting in the effort to make this a solid idea.
this is making gold out of thin air, i don't think it will happen.
