I don't get the lobster pool, and why does it take 15 hours to farm a lobster and its only worth $12 in the store? By 15 hours - approximate - first make the trap, then set the trap, then have the lobster sit in a pool for another few hours. And I know they are worth a bit more than $12 but they should be worth thousands after all of that. Also does anybody know there are no fresh water lobsters in north america? They are called crawfish.

I get you OP, I haven't unlocked they lobster pool but when it was announced I imagined a cow pasture for lobsters. Feed the lobsters, they make tails, harvest the tails, cycle.
It's interesting to note that you refer to coins as dollars and fresh water lobsters as crawfish as they do in N America.
Americans are not they only ones who play Hay Day. The game is played worldwide!

Everything is Hay Day is quirky and fully imagination...vague resemblance to reality only in the basic premise of being a farming game really. While the time buildings may take to construct or how long items take to be produced may not make sense to us laypeople, it does make sense to the designers who work out the formulas required to ensure balance is maintained in the game. We may not understand or agree with things the way they are but there is always a valid reason.

Yes, freshwater shell/fish etc, are 'farmed' world-wide.
In Australia for example, they have yabbie (and even salmon) farms, plus many other types.
How do we know the water area is not a bay and behind the mist is the ocean? Has anyone been behind the mist?

ok. I sorta agree about the lobster times being kinda strange. At first when every boat wanted lobsters and lobster soup it was really obvious, something wasn't right. Eventually things settled down and the cost of fish related items was tweaked and lobster soup boats gave way to soy sauce boats and after a while lobster was being sold in the RSS at times. Americans say sweater, but in England they are jumpers. I wouldn't begin to use a currency I wasn't familiar with, and calling them coins, seems stuffy to me. We all use different terms to describe things and I think that is good. We learn that way. Someone referred to one of the bicycles as Penny farthing bikes. Supercell doesn't call them that so I had to go looking and discovered a lot about these big wheeled things. It was great. So let's all practice a little restraint when it comes to language and terminology and be kind to those who may say something that sounds different.
As I have said before, when something loses it's brilliance, it is usually time to get a different one. We are all in different places when it comes to this game. Some of us love it because it fills a need in our lives and when it is criticized we get understandably defensive. Some of us just don't value it as much and can see all the dents and scratches in the veneer. If you feel the need to complain about everything, it is usually a sign to find some other game to play. Nothing is wrong with that and we all need to understand that. It is an individual decision that can only be made by the person questioning the need to carry on or leave.
If you have ideas about changing the game, there is a forum for that and that is the place I would suggest if you need a listening ear and an audience for that. However since different level players see the game in a different way, you have to be prepared for kick back on suggestions. What you see as a problem might be turned around in a level or two.

While I was posting about lobster traps, we were watching something on netflix about folks in Maine who were making a giant 35 foot Christmas tree out of lobster traps!

Think of a balance scale...you need to have equal weights on both ends in order for the scale to be in balance. It can be very tricky getting both sides exactly equal.
