Gearing up for a trophy push - question

I am very nearly ready to upgrade to TH 9. By ready I mean completely maxed out. I assume I should wait until after the push to upgrade my TH, but am I missing something here. I want to be as strong as possible defensively, right?

what is your question? if your asking us if your ready to go to town hall 9 we wont be able to answer it because we cant see your base...

How long is the push?
If its a week, I don't see anything wrong with your town hall upgrading.
When you're out of the push, you'll only have to wait 3 days.

What's your aim for the push?
If you going to hit Crystal 1 and above, your defensive abilities doesn't matter at all.

I am a month old TH8, currently trophy pushing, will be TH9 in 3 days, aiming for Masters 3.

You are saying that a TH10 with the defense levels of a Th7 can make it to champ? Maybe, but they will be losing 40+ trophies every battle, unlike maxed TH10s.

I meant that early TH9, maxed TH8, TH7, and TH5 will see the exact same results in the battle log in C1 and above. So don't worry, push and upgrade at the same time, you'll wiped out anyway.

All you have to do is gain on offense more than you lose on defense.

I disagree... I think that applies for the same levels in 2700+. I am a premmie TH9 and my hog base won 3 defenses at 2550. The offense part is true, every time you log on you need to gain more trophies than you lose on def.

I bet you have your X-bows. What level are they?

X-bows take 7 days to build and another 24 days to upgrade to level 3, so I'm not expecting any wins from my defense on this particular push.
