Hi guys, so i recently maxed my TH8 and started my tiwn hall 9 upgrade. I wanna ask you guys on what to upgrade first do? any advice? hows the loot at th9?

Loot is comparable, except Th7 now only get you around 100K. Depending on your raiding style (collector or storage breach) you will be fine.
As for upgrades.... I did Xbows (x2), Lab, Spell Fact, AQ Lvl 2.
After AQ I started Elix storage and worked on getting walls up to par inbetween the short storage upgrades.
Hi, congrats on maxing TH8! That will definitely help you out a TH9.
Here's what I would do with each builder, I assume you will have maxed resources when the upgrade finishes.
1. X-bow
2. X-bow
3. Archer queen -> Lab
4. Spell factory
5. New building eg. Tesla
Then work on getting new buildings up to TH8 level.
Once this is done, usual upgrade sequence:
Gold:
X bows
Splash defences
Teslas
Clan Castle
Point Defenses
Walls
Elixir:
Army camps then Dark elixir drills
Get all the new buildings first up to th8 levels, (up the lab too) then upgrade your splash buildings.

first thing to do is max new elixir storage and upgrade laboratory
archer6 takes 7.5 million elixir.
After that, spell factory because 4 spells just rocks.
Xbows straight to level 3, never stopping
Wiz towers to 7 as well if you can keep the builders going.
stagger your 5 builders so you get a builder up every day or two, giving enough time to keep them going. These are expensive upgrades.
for gold always build new buildings and walls before preceding to new upgrade levels on existing defenses.
Elixar is very important and you should have full storages ready and get your storages (new one) up to max asap
I did this about two months ago and did the following-
1)army camps.(more troops cannot be underestimated)
2)laboratory upgrade.( new troop levels),
3)Dark drill
4)spell factory
5)new troop levels ( do what you use first)
6) if you want witches then go for them, but lvl 6 troops will benefit you best)
Dark- have 40k ready when TH9 hits so you can buy AQ right away and save for her upgrades, very helpful lady she is.
gold- Obviously build new buildings first
1- Xbows
1- wiz tower
3-archer tower and cannons
4- while upgrading get those walls ready!
after that its personal prefence on upgrades but I did splash damage and xbows to max first.

As others have said, elixer is very important at the start of TH9. Assuming all your defenses are TH8 maxed then that puts you ahead of at least 50% of current TH9's so upgrading you defenses to TH 9 max is a second priority for the time being.
Use your gold to start upgrading your new defenses and build xbows but focus most of your efforts on upgrading troops and army camps (all 4 army camp upgrades increases your army by 10% which is huge).
Also make sure you have enough Dark Elixer as soon as your TH finishes to buy your Archer Queen. She isn't very strong until you upgrade her a bunch but buying her requires no build time so you might as well do it right away, she's better than nothing.
I'd also say build all the new buildings before upgrades and then upgrade x bows to max. Teslas are also awesome but take ages.

I would suggest 2 for xbows; 1 for lab; 1 for AQ (immediate) --> elixer storage.
I'm assuming you will do archers lvl 6 first (because you should) and you need 4 elixer storages Maxed to hold enough.
I only have 4 builders so this is what I did.
I would save the 5th builder for walls. And for walls, I would only build a wall if I could get it up to level 6.. so instead of having a section of lvl 3 walls you have a smaller section of walls that are actually good for something. If that makes sense? I feel like I didn't do a good job explaining it...

I did all the quick stuff (less than 12 hrs) and maxed out storages to get them done. I have all but 2 walls to lv8 and with next free builder will upgrade those and start some lv9s.
Heres what i have now (time left) and what i will do when they are done.
xbow lv1 (3d) -> xbow lv2
xbow lv1 (6d) -> xbow lv2
air def lv4 (3d) -> wiz lv3
camp lv6 (1d) -> camp lv6
AQ lv3 (4 hr) -> tesla lv2
Good luck, farming was a bit of a jolt at first. It costs more to search and your not going to find as much loot as you did at th8. So if you just going for gold keep an eye on the net.
All going to plan, both xbows on their way to lv 3, all camps up and spell factory going (just horrible, there's no good time to do it) and wiz towers and tesla have been on constant upgrade except to get AQ to lv5.
When the xbows are done I will do mortars and Air Def, basically keeping 4 builders on Def and the other on resources (DE drills.)

Stupid to add 4 damage to archers and waste the time. Look at Balloons, giants, dark troops... There is so much more valuable options than your "obvious" choice with archers....
