Hey guys, im almost a townhall nine, im wondering what should i upgrade first? I plan on having my storages with maximum loot in them, I will probably build two x-bows. I have four builders though, so please tell what what are the first things to build/upgrade. Here's my base:
both xbows lab, then build small upgrades with other builder
Lab and drills 2 most important in my opinion.
Stagger the xbow builds by a few days.
1: X-Bow
2: X-Bow
3. AQ(if u have enough DE) -> Lab
4. Spell Factory or DE Drill

I agree with doing both xbows right away.
AQ level 1 should be done, since it is an immediate build, so hopefully you have enough DE.
Lab is next, then the last free builder for the quick new stuff like archer tower, gold and elixir storages, etc.
I'm getting close to th9 also and my question is why isn't anyone mentioning upgrading camps early? Offense is the name of the game here and early th9 you will be spending all your resources anyway and shouldn't be a very good farming target so why go all defense first? Even if you bring max gold, elixer and DE with you from th8 that will all be gone the first day.
Barracks is important, but you're going to be low on elixir at the start of TH9 so you'll have to plan for it. I'd recommend doing lab first, make sure you have enough elixir for archers/barbs/giants when it frees up, and then keep one builder on barracks.Quote:

The camps are sill important, but I think most don't see it as the MOST important right away. Taking advantage of full gold storages to build both xbows right away is simply because they are a threat to many attackers and will help you get full out attacked less, and TH sniped more (assuming you leave your TH outside an inprotected).Quote:

I feel that the lab upgrades are more beneficial for offense than 5 extra troop capacity (but when you add them up, 20 extra troops is very helpful).
After my xbows were built, I finished off my army camp upgrades, so I didn't wait too long. They are very useful (220 troops vs. 200).
I disagree that both xbows should be built right away. Lvl 7s teslas, lab, all the new buildings, and camps are more vital. I staggered the xbows by about 5 days initially and now just keep a builder on 1 at a time. There are a few advantages to this, most notably builder availability.

One more reason to burn all my gold on the two xbows right away, was to take a short breather from CoC. Matter of opinions, but while I do love my testlas, if you already have level 6 teslas, you're already one-shotting archers and WBs, and xbows is a far bigger increase in terms of raw fire power. Xbows also bring a certain intimidation factor that teslas do not, for obvious reasons. I do agree that you don't need both xbows up right away, but I recommend at least one.Quote:

So I still had 5 free builders and these were my initial upgrades if I'm not mistaken:
1. XBow
2. New Tesla
3. New Drill
4. New Wiz Tower
5. All new walls to lvl 8 - existing drill to lvl 4
I have all teslas lvl 6 and i think that both xbows would be better because it will give me more dps than a tesla from 6 to 7. But you are in Exodias ll though, lol.Quote:

I went double xbow right from the start. Just cause I had six million gold in stores! What else are you going to burn your gold on?|
But like someone said earlier: offense > defense
So it was double xbows and then I hunted elixir non stop! Max our camps, spell factory and for the love of god get those lvl 6 troops! I went giants > barbs > archers. I think that is still the best order now. And if you are not building the AQ on day 1 you did something wrong!
There are lots of ways to get around a weak defense. Townhall outside. Playing in a burst. Blowin all your gold on walls.
But there is no way around a stinky offense....
Ha, I just went TH10, and I started a camp on day 1. Always offense > defense
I think its better to get the new defensive buildings up to townhall 8s max level, then start to worry about offense. I can already raid very well against townhall 9s and, the loot penalty isnt too bad to attack townhall 8s.Quote:

Sure, but here is the thing. Those buildings are DIRT cheap and build fast! You don't need hardly any gold to get them up. Focus on elixir, you will earn more then enough gold to cover those buildings as a by product.Quote:
