The December update included tweaks that gave defenses a big boost. Limiting the Heal Spell and giving the Disco Inferno Tower a multiple target ability has made trophy pushing a lot tougher for bases that aren't TH 10's. Without the extra defensive firepower of a fully developed TH 10, you will be a target to every player in Crystal or above.
However, if you are a fully developed TH 10, this might actually be a good time to push. With many Towers set to multiple target, the big hit point units, like the golem, or dragon, may have regained some of their usefulness. With players having to choose what to defend against, the door has opened a little for attackers if they choose their targets wisely.
