Farming under 200 cups

So i got bored climbing the league ladder. I decided to drop to a total of zero cups. When i got below 200 cups, i found a lot of high level players with high level loot hiding down there.

If i go to 200, or above, i get really low level players just starting out. If i drop to 199, i find people with 500/500k and 2k de every first attack. In the time it took me to type this (5min) I've been raided 5 times from those trying to drop below 200 cups.....

so what is going on with this new raiding "down under"?

BTW, these people are very much active, so no they are not abandoned bases I'm finding, they are people hiding from their proper league levels...... If you don't believe me, drop down yourself....or i will post pics later today for proof.

Sub 200 is a pretty well known farming spot.

However, i don't know the theory behind this occurance.

Last time i dropped to 99 cups i never saw this many bases.... I was just wondering what changed....

also are there any other threads about this?the search turned up nothing (even the advanced search).

I'm curious: what kind of bases are down there in terms of town hall level and defenses?

There are lots of rich th8 down there, where else can you get more consistent loot as a th9/10 w/o nexting a gazillion times?

I will try and get some pics of some bases im having trouble getting them into photobucket from my ipad. Best i can say is really just drop down and check it out, it is weird. When you attack they are 250-290 cups, withhigh loot, and ive seen a few with lvl10 walls and maxed xbows.
pif you have 200 or above cups, you find nothing, but at 199 and below, you don't have to search the"next" button for 5 min to find someone with 200/200 loot, or higher

Would you say the bases are noobish and premature or advanced? Other than the one you just described.

there is no such base with 500k/500k 2k loot there... I've been there twice as a th8 before the loot update... the first was better than the second. What is down there? 60-80k loot with minimal defenses. if you are lucky, 150+k loots with minimal low lvl defenses ( 1 canon, 1 arche tower, 1 mortar). there are some high level bases with almost maximum defenses with 200k+ look available. Unless u have a lot of time playing, don't bother going down.
