I skipped TH7, what shall I do

Ok, here's the thing.

Until TH6, I upgraded every little possible bit of my base before going to the next TH level.
Once I was waiting for my TH7 to be built, I gained so much gold, that I went directly to TH8 once TH7 was built.
So I went to TH8 with a completely built TH6 base.
I managed to build some more stuff in the meantime, though.
I also gemmed a little bit to get some of my troops to a better level.

However, I now realize, it's harder to get enough elixir and gold atm. One the one hand, since the update I seldom have enough time to find a base that is worth raiding, as I only have several small time frames every day to play coc and I just need to settle for an opponent within 5 minutes of pressing next and attack him.

On the other hand, despte gemming my troops, they aren't all at level 5 yet (only the giants and the wallbreakers) and I realise I lack experience for successfull attacking tactics, because I never played with TH7.

In TH6, I farmed by using only goblins, three camps full of them at level 3 and that worked like a charm. I love those little dudes.
When fighting 'normally', (intending to win matches), I used a lot of giants, archers and also goblins.

It doesnt work now at TH8 and the new update isn't so good for looting mines :/

After getting my TH8, I went TH sniping for a while until I was in Crysral II, just to see how far I can go and also to get enough dark elixir for the king and the minion upgrade. That worked well, but now I need enormous amounts of normal elixir and gold to upgrade my base and my troops. I have difficulties getting both.
Trying BARCH now, works to some extent but is very boring.

What would be best for me to do now ?
I planned to hibernate under a shield during the week and just harvest my mines and the collectors to upgrade my offense primarily and then my defense after that. But that is so boring. I just wanna fight all the time .g.

Maybe there is another way ?
I know I should not have skipped TH7, but I did it and now gotta find a solution to catch up and find a balance and a place in the match.

There are several M-Power clans, ours usually has 45 to 50 members.
As you can see, I copied the base from the YT Tutorial of Daddy. Not very original of me, but it works ok.

If BARCH works for you, you should keep doing that, even though it is boring. Just focus on the bases that have full collectors and try to find a trophy range in which you can farm a decent amount of gold each hour. I dont find BARCH/BAM boring and its the technique that i've been using for a while now. Its fast, cheap and works very good. I'd recommend you to just keep using BARCH and update barbs/archers to level 5 asap.

I did some research as well and I guess I should have upgraded Barbs and Archers first, you're right.
I think I'll just gem them to Level 5, along with the Minions to Level 3.
Barbs and Archers are currently level 4 and Minions are Level 2.

I still think BARCH and BAM are very boring to play, I usually prefer a more sophistacated attack to attempt a three star victory.
But I need the gold and elixir, so what the heck.

What would be a good trophy range to farm this way as a TH8 ?
I currently play Silver I, as I was advised it's good there, but I think that might not be the best place to farm for a TH8.
I think about moving up to Gold III tonight, to see how it goes there.

Well you have quite a few upgrades to do. I would focus on getting army camps all maxed so your army can hold 200 troops. Then max all your farming troops; barbs, archers, giants, gobs, wall breakers and maybe healer if you use a giant healer strategy. Next work on getting all your defenses up to at least max level for TH7. Do mortars and wiz towers first. Once you do that u should be fine.

I use use either giant healer strategy, or BAG (barb, arch, and gob, with about 6 wbs). Works great. Once your troops are level 5 hit th7s at first since they are easier to farm typically than higher townhalls. You should be fine.

I think healer tactics are what you missed th6 andth7. But it is harder to use the healers once you're th8 with added air defenses and people placing them better in their bases.

Giant healer wizard strategy works very well and is great fun to use. Target exposed air defenses with giants, then send in the healer, with a few wallbreakers. Wizards act as a clean up.
Otherwise try ballonions or bag

b-arch or BAM should work a treat around Gold3, even with only level 4 troops,... e.g. my TH7 was been making a fortune over the last 24 hours hitting mostly TH8 and TH9, a few TH7, mostly easy collector raids for 200-300k of each and DE in some.

nah, I didn't farm all the time in TH6 :)

true, I find healers and deragons pretty useless atm, to much air defense going on. I haven't updated them much, though. Will do later. They take so long to cook, also.

I currently farm ok, with 75 barbs, 75, archers, plus 10 WBs and 4 giants. SOmetimes send in the king as well.
My builders are busy all the time, so I cannot complain.

I get raided each night though by some TH9, which then takes 300000 elixir and gold from me and some hundred de. But that's ok, that's how the game works. My defense will get stronger over time.

I'll experiment with some BAM, once my dark barrack is functional again (currently updating it). Thanks for the advice.
