Idea for wool products event - christmas is a time for giving

As christmas is the time for giving, and after the success of the pumpkin pie giving thread - what do you all think of having a thread for donating wool products to help each other reach the goals?

Im part the way to my 3rd goal. Has anybody completed the goals and can say how many required for each?

Rules of the thread would run along the same lines of the pumpkin pie thread. Perkycox - would love your help with this :-)

Please see the rules of the thread below (copied from Perkycox's original pumpkin pie thread):

FIRST -- This is not a "Wool products/wool/indigo/strawberry/sheep feed begging" thread. It is a GIFTING thread.


Givers will come here to post what they are willing to give away AFTER they accomplish their personal goals of 152 wool products.


SECOND -- Folks who need help with wool products toward their personal goals are encouraged to RESPOND to offers, but should REFRAIN from ASKING for donations. As on Woozle's Gifting thread, asking is considered "bad form."


THIRD -- Posts and responses should be made on the public thread, NOT IN PMs. This makes sure everyone can see what is available, who got what, and gives everyone a fair opportunity.


FOURTH -- If you receive help here, please come back and pay wool products forward to another player when able.


FIFTH -- If you donate wool products, would you please come back and edit your post to show who got the products and make it clear that the products are no longer available.

Happy to help here. I am also on my way to the third goal and I think it is a good idea Cazzabee:):) The pumpkin pie thread worked really well, thanks to Perky Cox. No reason why this can't go as well.
It is night time here but will see how things are going in the morning.

I need 32 more wool products for the last goal so after that I will be able to help! ;)

152 is the total needed for completion.

I won't be here much today as I have my christmas day/night out but please keep the thread going.

If 152 is the total then I have 103 to go LOL.;) I may have to hire Tom when I have some more time

Count me in. I have a long way to go yet, as my inventory was very low to start with. Will check back and see how everyone is progressing and try to come up with some extra product. :)

Yup, I'm in on this one with everyone too (after I complete mine as well).

I do have a question maybe one of you will know the answer to. I noticed you receive different XP, contingent upon what you donate. However does each item solely count as one towards your goal no matter the product? Since hats take considerably less loom time than the other products, does it get counted the same as say one red scarf that has different materials and considerably extended loom time?

Yes. each item count as one ... irrespective of whether it is hat or scarf or sweater.. only gold coins and xp will be different depending on the item you donate

As far as I can tell each item counts as one. I am making hats by day and the longer items overnight. My inventory was low to start with but hopefully I will have some to offer in a couple of days - it is a slow slog!!
