Someone joined my clan because it was mad that I attacked him, some concerns

Now, I have no problem with an idiot who wants to make himself look as such in front of my clan. While I take offense to some of the words he used to describe myself and my mother that isn't why I'm posting this.

He is upset because I'm in Silver League III and he is in Bronze I and the system paired us and I decided to go through with the raid. He does have a lot less Trophies than me the system still paired us so I don't see what the problem is.

My concern is that he said I might get banned for attacking lower ranked players often. I don't take into account who is on the other end when I decide to attack someone or not, just if I think that I can attack successfully or not. I assume this is bluster on his part because of the butthurt but as I'm new to the game I want to be sure that he is wrong.

I really doubt you can get banned for that; the other person was just making stuff up. No worries.:)

The matchmaking system matched you two guys up.
You randomly get matched up with people who are near-ish to your trophy level.
There is no way that you can get banned just because the matchmaking system paired you up with that guy and you decided to attack him.

If SC didn't want to allow attacking players with lower trophies then it just wouldn't be in the game.

Empty threats, nothing to worry about. Be proud of the fact that your attack was good enough to instigate him.
