Wall Cost? Should be Decreased!

Hello Clashers!


Personally I think that COC walls should be decreased. Like after Level 8 you would definitely have to spend money on the game or wait a few years to get those walls. I mean I hear some of the top players have to spend hundreds or even thousands just to upgrade the walls to the max. I mean just decrease the amount of the walls. I think that they are just asking for to much putting the walls at those prices. Yes I know farm but it is still a challenge that would take forever it cost 1,000,000,000 to max walls coming from level 10?

Totally disagree.

walls with massive HP are worth it. 3 hits from level 5 wall breakers are worth it. With 10 wb attackers only get 3 compartments. They're supposed to be hard to farm

I do know how to farm for one its the fact they mest up the loot plus the walls are still to expensive! It takes for ever and plus there is no way you farmed all those walls you had to spend money!

Lol I farmed my walls as purely as it can be. PLUS, I am not even close to the great farmers like Lulug n sharp for example! :)
Walls should not be easy to get, only hardcore ones willing to spend a lot of time on this great game should be able to get L10 walls!!

I'm not saying they should be literally be made to where level 40 can get it but im saying where it is not 4 million for one wall?

I wouldn't mind it, but it's not like it needs to happen. Plus, imagine all the threads I would have to wade through about how Supercell "stole" from them by lowing wall prices after they bought them.

Cloud Whisky is working on level 11 walls, no gems. It's possible

I think the walls cost is fine the way it is.

Hardcore walls for the hardcore farmer.

The last two wall levels cost too much, but the others are fine....

I'd say double the price of building those walls, the more expensive they are, the harder for players to build them. Maybe, some will not think of building walls because of the steep price, easy farming!

i personally didn't spend $$, but farmed my ♥♥♥ off for 6-7 months to get all lvl 9's. I started on lvl 10's but stopped after 4 pieces due to the loot draught.

If they change the cost of walls now it would devalue the $ and or time that people have already put into their walls... Bad idea in my opinion

Maybe. And this is a BIG maybe. Level 10 walls should be 2mil. Other than that, wall prices are fine. Heroes and walls are this game's "endgame content". If everyone maxed their walls easily, why would we still play?

I'm happy with the price of walls. I haven't spent any money on this game, so I'm proud of my walls. All level, I don't know the number, the black ones with the skulls lol.

Those would be level 8.

IKR. It took me 2 months to max lvl9 walls. Waaaay too long! It should take like a day or two.

Specific Changes?

Level 8- 500,000 (SAME)
Level 9- 1,000,000 (SAME)
Level 10- 2,000,000 (only change needed)
Level 11- 4,000,000 (SAME)

Did I end up in the Ideas and Feature Requests subforum?

The walls being expensive like that give you something to do after you upgrade all of your buildings. I wouldn't want to have nothing to do after I finish all of the building upgrades. Gold would become useless. I am glad that they are expensive because since it is harder to get, it makes your base stand out and look very unique.

As of taking years to upgrade...I have been a TH9 for 34 days now and I have about 200 level 9 walls now. No, I am not playing 12 hours and up. I just know how to farm and able to make 1.4 and up an hour. With the barracks boosted during this special event, 2 mil and up.

THIS RIGHT HERE is the only thing that I thought of as well that would be reasonable, but I wish that the people who spent 3mil on the lvl 10 walls would be refunded a mil back for each wall. Not sure how exactly, but probably by giving the people 1 level 11 wall for every 4 level 9 wall they upgraded. That would be very fair.

Every resource has got an ongoing cost gold is walls, elixer is troops, dark elixer is troops and Heros so they should be expensive or the game would become boring

Lv 8 walls are a breeze if u put your mind to it. lv 9...is just..

No, that is really unfair and a waste of time for people who farmed lv9 and 10 walls. Just stop at lv8 if they cost too much ;)

2. You say it takes years to max out these walls... It took Sharp only 2 months to finish lavas :)
3. Sure this would make it easier to finish the game, but here's the catch... You're not SUPPOSED to finish the game :)

unrelated, but do you know which clan sharp is in now? completely maxed th9 including heroes and lavas....is that a first?:)

In my opinion I like them being incredibly hard to get them to the highest levels. This is because SC said level 11 will be the highest for quite some time now. If it was lower price many more people would have those well dreamed of walls making attacking harder. I like to see those walls come with experience, anyways just because the game has them doesn't mean we need to have them. They are for the hardcore farmers or trophy pushers that need every advantage they can get there hands on, and for the hardcore farmers have something to brag about and show there commitment to the game. That is just my own opinion to why they should remain at a high cost.

As what others have said, the walls you have reflect how good of a farmer you are.

I like the high cost i'm onto lvl 9 walls currently @ 7/250 and its challenging but its part of the fun!

if they did change the cost i would expect a huge refund lol.. :)

Costs of wall are high so that the TH10s don't run out of things to upgrade. If they can upgrade everything so quickly, they'll be complaining that there's nothing else to do...

Wrong. You want everyone with lvl 11 walls? I don't. You want a game that might last a few years to last 6months b/c folks are maxed out and bored? I don't. Heck if we want to complain to SC about making the game easier, lets do it right....."Superell, the game is hard please give everyone a chest of gems b/c meh meh meh....."

I personally enjoy farming for walls, it gives more xp and more attacks and makes me more active ;)

The only people complaining about current wall prices are the ones that don't have them yet. I think it is odd that Supercell made the jump from Lvl 9 walls at 1 million to Lvl 10 at 3 million to Lvl 11 at 4 million.

Seems that the Lvl 10 walls should have been 2 million each or even 2.5 million. But, it wouldn't be fair to change it now. It does add another challenge to the game. And, let's be honest, it's the biggest challenge this game has when building your defense. So, I like it where it is.

I still need to farm for 70 lvl 9 walls and 247 lvl 10 walls. The barracks boost was a nice gift... My advice... take advantage while it's here.

Wall prices normally double. the hp increment from lvl 9 to lvl 10 is a pretty good chunk compared to previous upgrades. Other than wbs, the 1500 extra hp definitely is worth the price. Yes abuse the barracks boost:cool:

I don't really have the time for walls to be honest, real life gets in the way. So speaking as someone with limited play time, i don't think the return justifies the time investment required max walls. So if you find it too tough to do, just dont bother.

On the specific subject of the cost, the 2m cost increase from lv9 to lv10 and 1m from lv10 to lv11 seems the wrong way round, but it will be difficult for them to change due to the time/energy/money players have invested in getting lv10 walls.

I agree with the OP. walls should be cheaper. I never understood why people *want* expensive walls. Gues they just love to grind dead base raids. Sounds fun to do for 4-6 hours a day.

I got done with127 lvl9 walls at th9 and then just moved on to th10. To boring.

Walls should be less than 1.5 mill per piece at any level imo.

Face it, walls are not an entertaining aspect of the game.

Yes, people should have to work for them, but at 1.5 mill for level 9+ walls, it still takes a long time to do.


Bottom line: We as gamers should not look forward to doing walls as "fun endgame content."

There should always be more entertaining content being added (clan wars, troops, daily quests, etc) giving you incentive to be active. No one signs into CoC thinking, "Time to grind walls for months! This is awesome!"


For the side saying that it would be unfair to players who already spent a great deal of time farming walls, deal with it. Same could be said of buffs/ nerfs to certain troops and gemmers losing money. The game is always evolving, and sometimes things become easier to do benefiting players which will = more happy players.

Put the time in like other non gemmers and good things happen, farm and farm more! The 1 gem boost should help farm a good chunk of walls atm, and they didn't even have to do that.

Do you think them people who farmed high level walls wanted to drop that much dough on a single piece of wall hundreds times over and not grind there teeth on every one of them?
But they did anyways because they enjoy doing walls and like pretty things. Guess what? You can too! Suck it up and just do it.

None the less them walls are for only those willing to take on the adventure and challenge that comes with it, if you cant handle that stop at L8 walls, and maybe sometime down the road you will be ready.

I farmed all my walls to lvl 9 and 60 walls to lvl 10 before the profile feature was added. After the profile feature is added, my gold grab shows only slightly more than 100 million, which means my gold grab is understated by a few hundred million ie lots of efforts is not reflected in profile and that is annoying. I am not the only one with gold grab understated, but i guess we can only live with that.

If supercell reduces the price of lvl 10 walls in the future, it will mean our effort in farming those walls is not only not reflected in the profile but also wasted.

What else do you have to buy at some point?

Most people still don't even have all purple walls lol. I would still say that doing walls is a grind at the what-if price of 1.5 Mill per piece in the higher levels. Doing walls, even skull ones at 500k, is considered a challenge by many.

My point is that there should be more entertainment aspects of the game with content other than walls. Walls should be a lower-tier priority in terms of fun-factor, but still on your list to do.




On another note, wall prices could also be split 50/50 gold and elix, to help with the abundance of elixir perhaps.

I disagree. They cost that much for a good reason. And if you wanted to buy them it cost $5600 US dollars. Personally I know several people that are farming them just fine. Just farm harder and you'll get it too.

125/250 level 9 walls having only been TH9 for 5 weeks... the price is just right. 10s and 11s SHOULD cost what they do otherwise it wouldn't be as rewarding when you finish em (and it is totally feasible)

It's too late in the game to adjust the wall cost. Can you imagine the (justified) outrage from players who have farmed top level walls if the price were to suddenly decrease?

Why should you get to farm those walls more easily than I had to?

Yep all hundred or so players who farmed lvl10 walls would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥! Cause SC REALLY cares about some dude spending week after week grinding walls... I mean come on, they are the the big spenders!

500k? 3 mil is a lot, but it's worth it. I spent a long time getting my walls to level 8/9 and I will be furious if someone can put in half the effort of what I did and get the same result in half the time

Of course because people would complain about level 10 wall costs because there is literally nothing too easy for some people. Everything has to happen fast how I want it. WORK HARD PEOPLE.

Good point, lol. Wall 9 and higher are pain in the neck, you need 3 wallbreaker lv5 to break them, and it takes ages for the small troops to break through. If anything, I don't want to face them with my BAM.
I'm sounding like a hypocrite now lol, since i have 80 wall 9.

It should be decreased but not too much, maybe 10%? That's not too much, it'll keep the game fun but not make it seem too daunting.

I'm sure I've never read a solid compelling reason as to why they should be reduced. I have nothing above a handful of level9 walls and think SC got the cost correct when they were released.

I essentially learned how to attack and use troops during the time I spent farming gold for my walls, etc. In hindsight I'm glad they weren't bawls cheap. If I didn't spend that time raiding and nickel and diming defenses of their gold, I would not be very far along in the game.

If everyone were given cheap beast walls and you ran up against them all the time, I would be willing to bet you'd want cheap pekka and cheaper wizards too, to obviously help with the monster walls. Then we're right back where we started, lol.

You chose to play this game, so have some fun. People don't have to focus on negatives and complain constantly. Feedback is necessary, but when people create an echo chamber of negativity and finger pointing, they end up stuck there.

The game is supposed to be fun, try and have fun getting the gold for the walls or say f**k the walls and just don't do 'em. lol But this post is a microcosm of what I think holds people back from having fun with a video game. I could be way off, but I could not be.

Wall prices are fine.

Fine or not, can't really do anything about it. Some people have 2000 dollars invested in the walls. Can't just change it becuase of the $$ cost that someone has out in to it.

Other changes are easier when it is only about $20 or $50 dollars. But walls, to expensive to change it now.

Exactly. It's a matter of "Why doesn't loot come to my feet while I whine." Check out my clan member, ClavTang, at Unity Titans. Almost done with level 9 walls and all farmed.. Look at his HH and gold grab. He has around 1400 wins a season (Better than Unity_Sharp). Also check out Unity Sharp who has over 1 Billion GG.. It's a matter of activeness and yes, a 5th builder may speed up your process.

Use cheap/fast troops (barbs and arcs) and continuously raid. Also, no spells allowed (usually). For your base design, throw th outside and focus on protecting resources. Trophies shouldn't matter to you.

That's farming.
