Army for TH8 trophie pushers

Hello guys,

I'm creating this thread for 2 main reasons, first of all what my army comp is when trophie pushing. And second of all what army you guys suggest or are using.

So to start of im currently using:
1 Golem
2 Pekka's
1 Dragon
1 Healer
16 Wizards
6 barbarians
8 Wallbreackers

I always start by luring out the king and queen with barbs (try to do same with castle).
Then i'll drop the golem with wallbreackers at the side i want to breack in (where the TH is most reachable).
Followed with either some pekkas or wizards, depends on the buildings between the golem en pekkas.
Then the healer to patch up the wizard when getting hit in the crossfire.
And to top that all of i'll use the dragon as air assault.

This basicly gives my always 1 star, i get 8/10 2 stars. Depends on the base im attacking, however this army costs much elixer and much time. So any of you guys got some suggestions to make the training time less? (Please not TH sniping)

And my current trophie state is: 2276, you can find me in The Criminals as Bawsy.

Barrack one: 1 Dragon, 1 Wizard, 2 WB.
Barrack two: 1 Dragon, 1 Wizard, 2 Wb.
Barrack three: 8 Wizard, 2 WB.
Barrack four: 8 Wizard 2 WB.
DBarrack one: 1 Golem.
DBarrack two: 1 Golem.

Leaves out 12 spots to fill in by yourself!

Make it less time consuming by:

- 1 Dragon (30 Min) / 2 Wiz (16min) / 4 WB(8 min) / 5 Archers (2min?) = 56 min.
- 1 Dragon (30 Min) / 2 Wiz (16min) / 4 WB(8 min) / 5 Archers (2min?) = 56 min.
- 6 Wizards (48 Min)/ 5 Archers (2min?) = 50 min.
- 6 Wizards (48 Min)/ 5 Archers (2min?) = 50 min.
- 1 Golem (45 Min)
- 1 Golem (45 Min)

Gives you 200 army troops within the time of 56 minutes

A guy in my clan just made Masters as a TH8 with BAM. I don't know what spells he carried. Not sure I have his skills to pull it off. :confused:

Do you know how many he used of each? And my balloons are still level 4, so that would be a hard thing to pull of.

you should be able too. I got to 2500 with BAM then dragon minioned to 2600

Basically a balance of each archer and barb with I think around 15 minions. His B&A of that were lvl 5 and his M of that were lvl2. No balloons with BAM. He was going for 50% and snipes only. His name is casols in my clan.

No, barbs, archers, minions. Or at least that is what I have always thought of it to be and it is in the case of what the guy used in my clan.

Im pretty confident I could BAM my way to Masters without too much difficulty. I made crystal in a few hours from Gold 3. I used

30 Minions for cleanup
2 barracks on archers
2 barracks on barbs
2 lightnings and a Rage

be selective with your bases to help cover E and DE costs. Look for TH that are not too far in. You will almost always 1 star and id say I would 2 star 60% of the time.

Quick. Cheap. Easy.

ummmm good luck BAMing 2500+ with lvl 5 troops. Maybe if you just th sniped, but I don't see you getting 2 stars at all. There's such a misconception about these lower th levels getting to masters. It's no secret either; they th snipe and constantly stay on to avoid attacks. If you have a lot of time on your hands it's definitely possible. Worth it? Eh, not really. Prestigious? Eh, not really. Th sniping takes no skill. I'm the type of person who leaves my th out in crystal 1 so a low level, usually premature th snipes me. Guess what? When I go to break my shield, I'm coming after you and those ~30-50 cups you're going to hand over when I 100% you. Have fun with that set back!

hmm what is your chief name? I'm gonna avoid you... Cant use that sort of set back, im on a bet with a clanmate of mine. However what common strategy do you use?

Yeah i agree its easy at th8 with lvl5 troops to get to to crystal by TH sniping but once u get to crystal 2-1 thre are next to no TH's outside anymore and u really need a strong army to start getting inside bases of TH9 and 10s...once ppl see how easy they get to crystal they think its gonna be the same to get to masters and above,i had a kid on global start swearing at me cause i told him its not that easy to snipe all the way to masters and he was adamant he could make it to champ at th7 level 48.it gets really hard really fast above crystal

I raided all the way up from gold 3 with this army within a week. Just waiting a hour for my army to cook up and raid. I only sniped th a few times when they put it in a corner. 9/10 bases i attack have their th behind walls so i have to breack trough. And when i breack trough i always get 2 stars.

When I hit master at th8 a few months back i used 10 dragons (level 3) and 3 rage (level 5). I kept a dragon in my cc in case i needed it. Yes it's an expensive army, yes it takes time to train but I had a lot of success, and most importantly, FUN! while I did it. Everyone has their own method of attacking but I generally raged the dragons through the AD and tried to save one for when they targeted the th. I never turned a profit on elixir but I never went broke either. And I wanna say I 2 starred 90% of the bases I attacked, 100% win rate the whole way through. Utilize your shields! Have patience! Just make sure you're attacking the right bases for your army and play style. I also avoided those bases with the weird trophy ratios. For example; 15 for 3 stars but -28 for a loss. Not worth it! Good luck!

if your current army composition is winning for you, stick with it. It's hard to learn a new technique when you have a lot on the line mid-crystal.

I might try it, however with the seeking air mines costing gold it could go wrong. So i'll wait till i win my bet then i'll try some things out.

2 Golem (45 min: 2 X dark barracks - 60 camp space)

U said wizards twice?is that 18 wizards total?or was it a mistake?....also i prefer 2 golems 3 pekkas 3-4 wallbreakers and the rest wizards with a heal and 2 rages!Works like a charm!!....sorry and also 7 wizards in one barracks is 56 min

This isn't even a bad one to be honest, however the down side is that I have one Dbarrack level 2. This makes it more time consuming to get the second golem. But i'll keep this in mind! Do you bother if i edit this to the original post to share it with others?

What he is trying to say with that that he is using 14 wizards split up on 2 barracks (Makes 7 each).
Then he splits up the 4 other wizards over 4 barracks. This makes:
Barrack one: 1 Dragon, 1 Wizard, 2 WB.
Barrack two: 1 Dragon, 1 Wizard, 2 Wb.
Barrack three: 8 Wizard, 2 WB.
Barrack four: 8 Wizard 2 WB.
DBarrack one: 1 Golem.
DBarrack two: 1 Golem.

Argh - I calculated 7 minutes for wizards; they are 8 minutes

112/2 = 56 minutes.

You did calculate with 5 mins. 35/7 = 5.

Sorry to whine but take a look at my original post with the best time consuming split over barracks.

I see one RAGE, and one HEAL cast - do you bring one of each spell?

I would think three lightning would be most flexible, and works with the build time - you dont always have to drop more than one.

I mostly use rage to breack trough the walls infront of the th, or to finish it of early with raged wizards. When i think i can get a 2 star, or need a heal for 1 star i'll drop the heal on my wizards to keep them alive and get some percentages.

It depends a little bit on how high you hope/intend to push, but here are some thoughts...

BAM to 2000 or 2100 - it's not hard to get 1-star 50% even with lvl 5 troops, and you make money along the way. Too many buildings inside for higher TH lvls you start to see around Crystal-2 however.

Hogs 4 can get you a few hundred more cups. Train time is quick too, and not overly expensive. The mix people like varies a lot but I did ok with about 26 hogs, 2 healers, about 7 wizards (to kill royals and CC which you must lure first), and a sprinkling of archers or barb/gob to lure. That's about 25 mins. Take all three heals for spells and be SURE to lure as there's no space for a bolt. I found I needed all three heal spells around 2400.

If it's still working, push as high as you can with this. Last push I ran out of DE and went the final 150 cups to Masters by sniping with an army mostly giants and archers.

It's likely GoWiPe can get you the final distance as well, though yes the train time is a lot longer. Use the barrack boost if you're doing this before Jan 7th :)
