What are the crops that sell best in shop ?

Hey guys. I want to maximize my earnings as the last round of updates left me bankrupt and I want to be more than prepared for the next update. At the moment I don't sell any crops in the shop only to customers that ask for them. The only problem with that is I don't get max price but the big plus is I can sell huge quantities in one go. I want to know from your experiences the best props to sell at max price in the shop and how quickly they are sold. I don't want the crops sitting there forever.

I usually have loads of sugarcane so just sell 10 sugarcane (the most you can sell) for 144 coins (maxed price)

How quickly do they sell. I don't want them there for days.

My experience dictates that soybeans will fly of the stand- especially with the new machine needing them and also because all levels need them for feed.

Also (and this is a "little" off subject); if you're looking for maximum coinage in shortest time, fling the wheat! I sell wheat 10 wheat for 1 coin. I sell it so low (and it takes a few seconds longer to drop the price on the stand), but it will not remain on the stand for ANY length of time. Mind you, it's not the 1 coin you seek- it's everything you can unearth! If you sold everything that you made in even an hours time, it would more than make up for any other crops you grow and sell.

Thanks heaps for your input bulldog. The beans idea sounds very logical and the wheat also too but u need to have a lot of time on hand to keep wheating for a while. At the moment my biggest money maker is sugar cane through the customers. I don't get max price but I build it up by just doing that and sell like 2-300 at a time.

If you want to make bigger coins, but at a slower rate, sell blackberries, raspberries, coffee, cocoa, etc... They sell in an instant. Just make sure you hoard your axes to replace them.

U get too many dead trees if u do that. Already tried it and it took a long time to cut them down. The only time that should be implemented is when an event is on and customers r paying double price. I still wouldn't do it again though as it took me weeks to cut all the dead trees.

I've been trying to regularly stock my RSS with some of every crop and fruit and my observation is that only pumpkins and indigo tend to stick around for a while. Everything else seems to have a pretty healthy demand right now, so pick a crop based on how long it will be in between plays and try to get the highest valued crop that you can harvest when you log in next:

So if you know you'll be back in at least 4 hours, try peppers or potatoes. If it's longer, go for tomatoes. Overnight, do strawberries, etc.

I'm not a fan of fruit tress and bushes as a money maker because it's more trouble than it's worth (to me) to manage the tools needed to maintain the dead plants. Your mileage may vary.

I DO agree with other posters that wheating is the best way to go if you are going to be sitting with the game for any extended period of time. I sell wheat at default prices (10 for 10) all the time and it never lingers, plus the benefit of the bonus items/tools. Now that you can place ads every three minutes your ad will find SOMEONE who wants the wheat.

It goes fast especially at 10 coins or less.

Soybeans and sugarcanes works best for me. Been doing that since day one and haven't stopped. It's a multimillion dollar business...u'll become rich in no time :)

From a buying perspective, my fingers twitch whenever I see potatoes lol. There are very few ads in the paper for potatoes and when I need them, there never seem to be any around. I'm trying to keep a better routine of planting/harvesting, but potatoes seem to be the hardest to keep as they go so very quickly for some reason, so I frequently will buy them if I see them even if I really don't need them. :o

Good point. Must more reliable sell than trying to sell the wheat. Though I admit I don't understand why everyone will buy chicken feed like it's going out of style, but nobody will buy eggs.

Better question is return on invested time as it seems like carrots, soybeans, and sugar cane goes quick.

If i plan to play for a while. Good cup of coffee, nice and warm blanket, no kids for hours, type of evening. :) I would go with carrots. Relatively quick growth (10 min). This gives me 72 per 10 (or 144 gold for the time it takes to make 10 soybeans which sells for 104).

If I am running around and checking in every now and then i make sugar cane. 30 min build time and sell quickly for 144. That takes the pressure of having to check in quick and often. While still making gold.

And over night i make tomatoes and strawberries and potatoes which i sell the next morning.

You want money? Stop selling to the little people. They never pay enough except for wheat and eggs and that is only because wheat rarely sells for full price, but you can get it. Sell everything in your RSS, advertise and it will fly off the shelf. The only thing I have had problems selling were red scarves but with the event now, they will go fast. I sell everything at max and it flies out of my shop. Who cares how long it stays there, fill the other slots with different things and eventually it will all go.

the little people are horrible except during a double coin event. They are good for wheat when you are wheating, otherwise, ignore them.

truck orders are only a little bit worse, but they won't give you as much as the shop will. Buy trees and bushes for max cash and plant wheat and corn for the axes and saws. They will soon overload your barn.

I just sell wheat for mazed price. once I almost have no more space I sell 10 wheat for a coin and make people come. they usually by the ones for 36 :)

I always run out of soy beans now ...and always end up buying them from the DD...

My update in the last 12 hours. I tried almost everything. I found out the best crops to sell at max price was soy beans and potatoes. They are both cleared out within 30mins of me posting. Pepper took a few hours and sugar cane too the longest at almost 12 hours. I have been racking it the last few hours. I want to thank everyone for there help.

I would say stop selling to the little people if you want coins.. I'd say soybeans and sugarcane tend to sell well. Carrots also, whenever I sell wheat at 10 coins it goes fast and then I also sell all the LEM I get which brings in good coins. It just depends on how long you are going to be away for what crops to grow.

Noticed as stated before indigo and pumpkins seem to sell not as fast.

Ok I tried carrots and they take tripple the time it takes to sell soy beans. So there is no question that selling soy beans is the most profitable and the quickest mover.

hey guys I am having trouble selling soy beans the last day or so. They used to go within half an hour but now stay for a very long time. Whats happened lately. Are u guys experiencing the same thing

i like making tons of brown sugars and selling them. they go sold pretty fast too.
and im forever looking for tomatoes in the DD :(

I think the soy sauce has been around long enough that the initial back-stock per farm has been reached for many players. When the machine first appeared, I started stockpiling soy sauce even though I was not yet allowed to buy the sushi machine and orders for soy sauce seemed to be few and far between. Since I started with zero, and my goal was to build up a good level of back-stock before I got a lot of orders for it, I opened all the expansion slots and kept it running 24/7 for days and days. That ate up an unusually large amount of soy beans at 15 a pop since I first needed to make all 9 slots worth of sb, and then didn't ever let the machine idle until I had built my pile. Since I rarely have an order for ♥♥ to date, and can't keep my sushi machine going constantly due to running out of fish, I'm not using nearly as much sb, and I hardly ever buy it (which I did a lot at first.)

this is may change as I level up and need soy sauce for more than just sushi.
