Yup, as facescraper said, they go to the closest wall, so if you deploy them near the top of the top, it will go upwards out of the base :)

Because I'm nice, I am willing to sacrifice my base for the answer to this question.(will the wbs go to that wall when deployed? I'm pretty sure but I want to make sure)
